Stands

Love my pit bull front Hybrid and rear stand.
I lowered my bike 1 inch on the hybrid stand and had to let the air out of the tire and have two guys lift the front of the bike to get the pin out. They don't work on anything but stock ride height bikes.

Come to think of it, I was always at stock ride height when I used it..

When I purchased my '02 Busa a little more than a year ago, I knew there were some cosmetic upgrades and general maintenance I wanted to perform myself. So I ordered rear spoils and a set of stands. The upgrades I've done so far haven't requires me to put the bike on stands.

My Busa is getting a complete "face-lift" at a local shop, part of the "face-lift" is power coating the wheels. The shop is using my stands while the wheels are out for power coating, so the bike is not taking up one of their bike lifts. It's the only time the stands have been used.

The shop says the stands work great, no clearance issues getting the wheels off. So they seem to be good. The stands were $70 for the set on Amazon.

Redline use to be a site sponsor and I have a front and rear of their's. Great stands, heavy built and solid as a rock.

Since I no longer have a bike and cannot ride due to seizures, I will give someone a great deal. If interested, pm me. Also, I have been a member here since 2006.

Great to see you back, but I hate to hear that you cannot ride anymore.

Drive the front tire on to a 2x4 before lifting it with the stand. Works perfect.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. A two-by-four doesn't change the distance between the bottom clamp and the top of the tire. Lowering the bike brings the clamp closer to the ground. If you look at my bottom picture, you can see the stand sitting on top of the tire with the pin still in the clamp.

It depends on the angle of the forklift stand(shape it's made), as well as the thickness of that tube.
I have used a board under lowered bikes to make them easier to lift with my Lockhart Phillips front forklift stand.
The overhang of the gen2 nose does get in the way though.

Also the length of the lift pin. Got the Big Mike's stand & couldn't get it under the plastic nose of fairing Gen1. Bike is lowered 3/4 to 1" only and will not fit at all so back it goes. Ordering a front fork stand from oxford so over the triple tree stand; great for stock height birds & I'm not going through the trouble to find the possible exception.

Lockhardt Phillips.
Came with 5 pins, 2 of them tall, and I've lifted many lowered sportbikes with it.
But I get what you're saying, just be careful lifting under the forks, those things give me the creeps.

This reminded me when one time I found the rear flat on the Busa (in my garage thankfully) and my rear stand wouldn’t fit under the rear enough to align with the spools. Had to air up the rear in a hurry in order to fit the spools so I could lift it and repair the tire.

I've still got my Bursig, and will use it on my next bike, and it's alot quicker on and off than the Skylift.
But, that Abba lift is awesome, I've wanted one for a few years now...and they cost what I paid for a Bursig almost 8 years ago!
Looks like it makes alot of things that much easier to do/get to.
I would leave it on a wheelie in my garage too, that's the best part, lol.
Pics and review when you buy one please!

I bought a set of Trackside stands. The rear is great, solid and affordable, the front a fork stand and like all of them is soso. If I'm taking the front wheel off I use a triple clamp stand and use the fork stand for winter storage.

Hi. It is too bad the ABBA does not fit my 1999 Busa!
