FYI, there was a V-Max Drag Day this past weekend. These guys are running mid 9's w/over 200rwhp with only mild mods.

It's been awhile since I last read this thread. I did put the x-pipe on and have since removed the stock airbox and installed Monster Air Stacks and K&N's. Then tossed on the PC-V and Autotune. I have the governor Eliminator chip too. I'm putting down right at 200hp at the wheel and running up to 175mph VERY quickly, however have not tired to run faster but I'm pretty sure that's all it's gonna do with the gear ratio in the driveline.

These simple mods push the mighty Max into the 9's. lease:

I'm very happy with the results and don't think I'll do any motor work to make more, but I'm sure there will be others who will pioneer mods to make 8's very easily. either with NOS or machine work on motor internals.

Some have stated 8's have already been achieved but there is some confusion if it was with NOS or not, and the owner is saying NO.

There are some hardcore Gen 2 Vmax owners, but it looks like the club is gonna be exclusive for a while to time come yet, since production will be very low.
