Like all replacements/mods you have to prep the bike first. Never mind the junk in the garage, I'm still trying to get settled in the house.

No, not necessary to have the tank up. The left side fairing needs to be removed and because I was very inexperienced at that time it was easier with the tank up. Also, did a couple of other things at the same time.
