just courious how the stock clutch,s are holding up on the strip??? ive heard that they are pretty durable is that true!!!
wow great to hear!! what kind of 60 foot do you get?? i raced a v max last year and put 3 passes on it and the clucth was fried!! and i wasnt even abusing it, so i went back to my gsxr 1000 thats had alot of passes on it and have never had clutch problems..I dragrace on a very consistent basis. I use a stock clutch basket and plates without a mod. I do use EBC heavy springs that are supposedly 20% stronger. I ran my clutch all year last year. That is well over 300 passes.
When I pulled my clutch for replacement the only signs of wear were on the first plate. The springs were a little blue, but nothing too bad. My clutch did not slip.
My clutch fibers were good enough to put in the Turbo SuperStreet bike when the fibers that were in it crapped out. In fact, we did an individual height check on each fiber and they were all within the factory specs. The turbo bike picked up a tenth in the times with used plates.

I launch just as hard as everyone else. If you don't believe me, come and race with me. You don't have to crank the RPMs in order to leave hard. The more RPMs you have revvving the more you have to slip the clutch. If you get to know your bike you can leave at the optimum RPM without having to bog the engine or blow the clutch.
