Stock Exhaust

Ok Ok Ok... here it is. I bought my Busa on Feb 1rst of 2008. On the way home, some kid rear-ended me. I had only 39 miles on the bike when I was rear-ended. Both exhausts were damaged (along with other parts, but since this thread is about factory cans, this is what I'm sticking with). One the msrp lists for repairs to my bike for the insurance company, each factory can lists from Suzuki at 1,034 dollars. Needless to say, instead of replacing both at a total of 2,068 dollars, I simply bought a full Ti-force carbon single sided-system and a power commander and still saved money, gained power, and the sound is now awesome.

Yeah here is his quote:

Hey XXXXX what's going on, I did do some research for you on those prices. The prices that you see do not include labor but they are discounted HEAVILY! and no promises but I will do everything I can to do something for you on the labor as well, also you will need to get a set of gaskets for your exhaust.

Power Commander- $300.00
Yoshimura R-77- $1000.00
Gaskets-$34.00

Im thinking if they want me to buy a new bike from them every few years they should have come up with better prices than this.

- $750!

I will be going back to the table or they can just replace the stock one. Funny on craigslist I can find the stock at $100 bucks for both.

Thank you

What R77 are you looking at ?
I also have a new 2008 Hayabusa.

But I am confused. Are you saying I do not need a PC3 with the R77?
Does this include the R77 slipon's posted on the site for $690.00

What kind of gain will I see with just the slip on's without the PC3 5-10%?

Thanks guys
The K8 has been proven to adjust fuel via the 02 sensor and ECU to handle the Yosh R77 full 4-1 system without any other modifications. No PCIII or any tuning. Don't expect a power gain, expect a loss. A Loss of 35 lbs and those ugly factory cans

I would think if the stock set up can handle a complete system replacement then going with slip ons should be a breeze for it also since the stock headers have the catalyzers in them. If your not mechanically inclined then go with the slip ons. If you can turn a bolt and have some ability and tools go the full system

Mine came in with a dent also and was replaced by my dealer. It is under warranty. I would get the new one and then if you wanted to change the cans you can do so. If you ever go to resell the bike (which i don't think you will) someone might want the stock stuff for it. I put the two brothers on mine and got a better deal at my dealer then i could on line. The guys i deal with are great!! Go Lynchburg Va Honda!! Good luck.
