I know what you mean by a wimpy horn. I would like to put the new style goldwing horn on the busa and that would get someones attention. I've tried to find one on ebay but only can find the old style and they are not as loud. I might have to buy a new one but right now I don't know what the price will be.

I did ICEMANN's air horn (two air horns). Cars can now hear me!

How about the round Fiams (sp)- any louder?? Bolt right in?

Takes a relay I bet?
It does, but ICEMANN's tutorial walks you through it. I bought the FIAMM (sp?) kit from an auto parts store. It consists of the compressor, relay, Y fitting, and some wiring. The compressor mounts right in front of the radiator. The hardest part is positioning the horns so they don't interfere when you put the nose on.

A very useful mod!

Pretty much any air horn is going to blow away the stocker, even if it is "enclosed" in the nose. I got the dual horns, and it's plenty loud. I don't know what size they are, probably 6 inches. Not sure how 8" would fit.

Sorry I missed this. No matter what, use a relay. The extra pull drains the horns pretty sad without one.

The round fiamms work well and can be bolted right up under the nose just as easily as the air horns. The air horns are typically the dual horn pack from local store, 5' & 7". the 7" and 9" work as well in the nose section. My latest is the 5 horn 4,5,7,7,9" horns all in the nose.

My suggestion is pitch the crappy plastic tubing it comes with and spend $1.50 and get black automotive tubing by the foot and use it instead. (vacuume line tubing).

Mount compressor in stock horn location or tail section between side walls and plastic.

Horns fit under hood; under gas tank near drivers seat (use metal horns they last longer in this area, www.howardhorns.com); If you dont have it lowered they fit verticle beside the rear shock. 9" and 12" horns fit in the tail section between the subframe and the plastics blasting out the holes where most put screens. You can also mount them along the sub frame beneath the drivers seat under the tail section facing forward. Just some hints.

Wired into your alarm makes a hellova racket, at highway speeds cars still hear the horn clearly and jerk back into their lanes.

Hope it helps
