Stop the surging

while riding the suburbs at around 35-45mph @ approx 4000rpms, my busa surges. Like a Dumb A__ I dumped her and she sat 5mos until parts and paint were completed. I have changed the plugs (and gaped them), checked the pump and strainer, nothing alarming, but a day later she is still surging at low speeds, and once cut out on me doing 80 on the freeway (I pulled the clutch in and the engine died)...whats can I do to corrct this

Put a can of Seafoam in the gas. It will clean up your fuel system. See if that helps. Maybe your injectors are dirty or something. You can pick it up at autozone. Make sure you grab the can for GAS.

I have tried 104 octane boost (racing), It helped the first tank... but I will try that seafoam.

Thanks mikeo

powercommander and a good map
yep.. that solved my surging...

always had a minor surge.. but after I changed to a full micron it got really annoying.. the PCIII fixed it... and that made it worth the money whether I picked up any usable power or not.

If your still on factory pipes... then maybe something is wrong somewhere.

i got a pc and a brock map but it still surges. i heard there was a mod that will elimanate the timing retard in the lower gears. you put a 15k resistors in line with the pink wire going to your bikes brain. havent tried it myself because i cant find the resistor

I think the engine dying when pulling in the clutch is a separate issue. Happened to me once BECAUSE my idle was set too low. Make sure she's set at 1200-1250 RPMs, it cured that problem for me.

get a real map and forget the resstor

There's small micro filters on the inlet side of the injectors. Can't remove these small filters but can clean them in place. A little valve fuel injector cleaner pour on it. Sprayed dry with air. They clean up nice.
Can re-use the injector seals by spraying a lubricant filler like TriFlow.
Another thing helps is setting the throttle position sensor to the rich side. _C00 dealer mode
Mostly the engine mods are beginning to go off it's map. Running to lean at RPMs that surging is occuring.

yeah after reading some of the other forums, I adjusted my idle screw, that helped alot. Then I changed where I received my petro. Everytime I stopped at Chevron, I got the surges, starting using Shell and haven't really had the surges. I am going to check the pump, strainers and try another injector cleaner. But thanks for the advice and assistance. I haven't had the chance to look, but is this seafoam stuff for real. I have talked to a lot of locals (Houston-Galveston, TX)and nobody has a clue to this stuff

I used Seafoam in my old mud Blazer, about every 3 tanks just to keep everything cleaned out. It works well, just remember your bike doesn't have a 15 gallon tank.......
