:banghead: Wow ! Those folks sure have put on a show for the area residents. The damage done to sport bike riders image will be tarnished for some time after this group leaves. Too many traffic violations to list. Pretty much any traffic law I can think of broken in my encounter. Saw some Busas in the parade of IDIOTS as well. Time and a place for everything but rush hour on I-270 for stunting is just stupid. Rant off.

Thats the one bike event I never wanted to go to. Too much dumb stuff going on. Last year it got pretty bad also.

mmmmmm did you not realize they had police escorts this year????? Well at least according to their facebook pictures

I hope they have enough leos to shut down the far end of the highway when these fools try their big stunt....and that they have enough leo helos to completely ruin the photoshoot. I have no patience or tolerance for stupidity like that. Public roadways are just not the place to stunt. We have all pulled the front wheel up but these guys are doing way more than that and risking everyone's lives in the process.

dont worry.... most of them will be either be dead or eating out of a straw soon anyway...... u cant control what other fools do on the road.

if they see the police they just taunt them into chasing them. and then the cops the azzhole for chasing him and everyone wants to sue....

its no different then the dirt bikes in the city. cant pursue them but they terrorize peoples neighbirhoods and make people fearful to allow their kids to go outside and play in the street.

if those on dirt bikes knew that they would be chased until they either stopped or crashed they would think twice about riding the way some of them do. and the penalties need to be increased if ur gonna tie the hands of the police and prohibit them from chasing them. not gonna happen with all our liberal law makers tho....

I agree but if the police are powerless to do things though it would be time for citizens to take action. In the case of dirt bikes as you described, if that happened here I suspect the neighbors would coordinate a way to encourage them to stop. BB/Pellet air rifles aimed at their bikes or creating a hidden mud trap to throw them from their bikes when they hit it or perhaps other things. I love riding all types of bikes but I cannot support folks that chose to ride so irresponsibly that they put others at risk or cause fear in the population to carry on with their normal day to day activities.

What really needs to happen when these things happen is for legal, law abiding bikers, perhaps through the AMA or similar group should vocally and visibly support the police/leo efforts. The negative perception given to the riding communities as a whole gets a black eye that often takes a while to heal. Perhaps with a visible support for the LEOs when stupidity happens in mass like this we can show the public that most bikers do not participate in this crap.

The police were ready for them. They were getting tag and VIN numbers from the bikes in the hotel parking lots. They had licence and insurance checks at the meeting spots along with flatbeds. Missing either and in addition to the ticket the bike was impounded. Not nearly as much news coverage this year as last.

It was year 10 for the ROC, rumored to be the last one, I hope not. I wanted to go but wasnt able to get away for the weekend.
