Stuttering came back.....

bruce, the plastic behind the pump, just a few gentle tugs with a pair of long nose pliars got mine out. It was stuck at first, but did go back in the end.

O rings, smear with engine oil and be patient. They do go back.

If its running like sh1t, would suggest the o ring under the regulator has not gone in right. or you haven't turned the petcock back on..........

Did you clean the filters in the injector tops?? They don't come out, I just blasted them with carb cleaner from aerosol.

Only other filter is the one in the tank.

You can shut the petcock off. You need to get a screw driver in the lug. You'll see. It only needs turning 1/2 way round though. Don't forget to turn it back on after install. Pump is fuel cooled.

If you need any more help mail me

It's obvious they don't use very high quality electronics on these beasts. Atl. Ga. Law Dog's thermocouple switch croaked, and I suspect frank adams' did too this past weekend. End result is no fan, not funny.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if another sensor was going goofy.

Are aftermarket sensors available??

That would be a lucrative business, sensors that allow infinite adjustments so as to tune each sensor to specific conditions/requirements/bike setups......

Nuts ;)

Do you ever have days when nothing goes right I think I am stuck in a week full off them.
The Busa is running very badly seams like shes running on three cylinders most of the time rough as hell and way down on power.
Think its those NGKs everthing else checked out pulled the tank filter clean as whistle as were all the others.
Checked the butterflies on my mercury vacume gauges and they were spot on.
Found the Dyno run had melted my fairing in a big way took a bit of working out how to put that right.
Thinking about reversing all the mods and giving it back to the dealer to sort out as its driving me round the bend.

Deep breaths Bruce. It aint that bad.....

right. take plug coils/caps off, make sure plugs are tight, change caps to different plugs, reinstall. Make sure the connections are not touching any part of the cam cover.

vacuum lines?? 1 under air box on??
1 to regulator
1 to IAPS on back of airbox
3 to T-piece IAPS to Regulator to #3 T'body
all connections on T'bodies on
Fuel return line not kinking when tank down

make sure the vaccuum lines aren't kinked where the zip tie holds the vaccuum lines on RHS by #1 TB
turn pet**** on.....standing on LHS of bike, lug should be horizontal, extra bit between lugs down
all connections to injectors securely on
.

this is what i would check if it was my bike. then, if it still did it, I would get a spare plug and go round them in turn, swapping over. If it still ran rough, injectors or pump clogged or regulator filter not in correct.

mail me if I can help any more
