So i have an 06 busa i bought it from a guy that was cool and all hes the original owner and all and he sent me a list of everything done to the bike i didnt look at it to well as i was on the lake and well phone ended up at the bottem. So with all that i dont believe there was a ton done to it by all means. I know for sure so far what i can find and what i have done there is

Power command 3
Montgomery carbon air box
Stacks
I believe sprockets (will be counting tonight)
Yosi exhaust (cans shortened and gutted)
As for anything else beats me

In the list he mentioned some internal stufff as well but again without the phone i cant even get ahold of him to find out for sure. With that being said i wanna add a little bottle to it nothing crazy more for the wow factor then anything if thats such a thing anymore with these lol. I also wanna try and figure out exactly if anything and what has and has not been done. Id like to have it tuned cus i do get a little backfire once and a while and it drives me nuts. With adding the bottle and what ever else in future im sure thats gonna cause more tuning but not sure iv never had one tuned or anything. Im not tryin to race it more of just a little toy yet ability to ride and enjoy cruisin around as well. Im not sure really if i even need to know everything to have it tuned or if i need to flash stuff or whatever so just tossing this out there if anyone has any sudgestions please please please toss it my way.
Thanks in advance
Brandon
****Attached is a little carbon candy till the rest comes in

If the previous owner went to the expense of a Montgomery box, anything else he did must have been at the same level...nobody spends that kind of money on something you don't see and then scrimp on other things...

As for the occasional backfire-is it decal popping? It might still have the PAIR valve system.

I'd find a way to contact him and ask these questions...it might have already had the ECU flashed/or tuned....

Im kinda the dumma that bought the box unfortunately as for contacting the guy thats gonna be pretty hard he was selling the bike to move iv had it about 6 months already went to his place he was at about 2 months ago amd hes already long gone. Im hoping there is a way without tearing it completly down to find out so i dont wast money buying a buch of stuff i thought i seen something about a 1340 kit or something again not for sure just trying to figure it all out. As for decal popping idk what that means but when i really hammer on it then let off is when it does it usually

...I didn't realise you bought the box....they are extremely nice...

You could do a compression test which will tell you how healthy the engine is, and/or do an oil sample test to make sure there aren't any suspensions in the oil. Check the clutch plates and such like that before adding more power as this is the weak link.

As for your popping on decal, sounds like the PAIR valve is still in place, you can get block off plates and get rid of that easily enough. If it has a PC it may or may not have been dyno tuned...if you can-getting it dyno tuned is worth the money IMO.

The only way to know if the engine has anything done to internally is to break it open to see-something I don't know if it's really worth doing.

Thankfully motor is running solid just did an oil change and that looked great i have not tore into the clutch yet tho anything clutch or transmission scares the hell out of me hahahaha also when i bought it it only had just over 15k miles on it iv personally put almost 4k myself (my wife hates the bike cuz im gone every chance i got) well maybe ill jist suck it up and buy a single side exhaust and have it tuned and ecu flashed right away just incase atleast then i know its done. And this pair valve deal ima look that up maybe do that this weekend along with these dreaded fork seals.

and yes ill prob scheadule an appointment for the clutch deals just to be sure 100% forget to put that in there

As for the occasional backfire-is it decal popping? It might still have the PAIR valve system.

yes i had that backfire at my ´00 too

my brother disabled the pair (2nd air) simply by using a cap over the connection (short pipe) rh of the air box where the pair´s rubber hose usually is connected.
ready.

I just looked up the pair valve deal its definitly still there looks lile i got work to do and looks like a new exhaust isgoing to be ordered sooner then later cuz im not gonna fight that little space or tear everything down 2x for something that can be done at same time pretty sure im looking at the pair valve thing

Yep, those are the PAIR valves...if you are changing out the exhaust, that is a great time to remove them.

@Brandonhanson

for first testing only cap the little pipe rh of the air box and let the pair´s hose laying around - doesn´t matter at all.

if that try was successful, later on you can put the entire "pair" out,
but thatfor the radiator must be taken off - otherwise there´s no chance to reach the little nuts at cyl. #2 and #3.

Yeah i seen its a smart time to do it and i kinda want a single side exhaust but still not 100% i gotta get in and look again to see if i just have slips or full exhaust on a bike i have no idea so gonna pull up pics and compair. As for the block off plates any recommend brands or are they all basically the same i see some on revzilla wanna say there made by drivin for like 40 bucks and other places shnits has brocks for i think 60

Awesome great heads up there i can test it tonight when o put the new exhaust on the radiator will be coming off anyways so thats kinda my plan is the pair block amd exhaust at same time

Be sure to use the search function for capping off the pair valve there's been a lot of write ups on it and I'm not 100 percent but I think there was a difference in the hoses between first and second Gen. Either way i know there's some threads with some good pics and how to write ups that I found when I blocked mine that way. Of course I undid mine after my full exhaust as I found the flame out the exhaust rather entertaining

If i knew it wouldnt hurt the bike in any way id probably let the flames fly for a while myself lmfao i do mainly ride at night so would look cool but im sure thats not to good for it lol

Normally when an ECU is flashed. There will be a tag on it. Or something scribed on the ECU. Letting you know who did it and maybe a number that would give details of the flash to the person/company that did it.

@Brandonhanson if yer going with a new header, lemme know,I'll give you a walk thru and suggestions on block off plates, sticky header bolts, etc, you may want an external crankcase breather while yer in there, exhaust donuts to order, the lower rad support bracket may have to be modded, how to tell if you have the stock header still (I think u do) advice on "letting the flames fly" ...ahh don't. blah blah blah
I'm not going to write it all out with pics if not necessary...I'm a lazy bastid.
Rubb.

Greatly appreciated from what i can tellthe only thing on the comp is the module i stuck to it to controle my lights hahaha

Bahahahaha but the flames would look cool jk i wouldnt no matter how bad i wanna see them and that would be awesome im still looking at the different exhausts atm i love how cheap the voodoo kit is but something is telling me exahaust you get what you pay for so atm im doing alot of research akropovic is one thats a wallet killer tho and obviously since it is suzuki yoshi always seems to be a good go to but right now is the research part for me untill i get it narrowed down i wont be doing a whole heck of alot unfortunately. There is so much i havnt learned yet with this bike its crazy never realized how in depth a person can go. Not to mention the cost of some of it lol. Hell my truck exhaust was less then half the price spme of these bike ones are lol. On the bright side im definitly stuck on the 4 to 1 exhaust i really like the single side shows off the swing arm (if i ever extend it) plus gives me extra room for a bottle or something. If im reading it right tho only thing i dislike about the 4 to 1 kit they all seem to come out of the throttle side right side passenger whatever its supposed to be called not a huge issue by all means just weird to me im sure ill be looking for at least a week before i pull the trigger on anything atm as i wont have another day off for 23 more days so ill be pretty busy and cant spemd all day figuring it out.

You all are really awesome thanks for all the help i greatly appericiate it
