Uhh, you were ripping on it too a little ways up.I think its funny so many of you are making fun of that bike, If you parted it out the sale price made ALLOT more sense than most bikes sold in the for sale section on this board. I think the buyer could make easy cash off that bike.

That bike is 3 years old and sold for $2,000 more than what a brand new '05 Busa would go for OTD. At $11,600 I just don't see someone making a profit parting out that hacked up turd.
The description makes the bike sound like a million bucks, yet the pictures tell a completely different story. Basically a page full of lies (220 mph? yeah sure) so I can only imagine how bad that thing must look in person. I'd bet many of the most wanted/needed parts on that bike are now worthless. Look at the tail section, how much ya think that would go for on Ebay with that big ol' speaker hacked in there offset to the right and covering part of the SUZUKI decal?![]()
After market parts for the most part are generally worthless when selling the bike unparted and if they did anything to the motor the bike is worth ####. Just look at the quality of the audio work and then imagine them working on the motor. they should not even be allowed to share the same ozygen we breath.I was picking on the install and the comments.Uhh, you were ripping on it too a little ways up.I think its funny so many of you are making fun of that bike, If you parted it out the sale price made ALLOT more sense than most bikes sold in the for sale section on this board. um go to the for sale section and find me an 2002 under $7000. Most are $7500+
Now deduct
$100 to replace the tail
$125 to replace the swing
$50 to replace the inner fairings were the speakers are.
OK $7500 for the bike WHICH HAS LESS MILEAGE THAN MOST LISTED HERE.
$4000+ retail for those spinners (worth probably about $3K used)
$50 for the double bubble
$800 for the akra pipe
$150 for the chrome triple clamp cover
$100 for the levers (they're $150+ new)
$100 for that custom Suzuki gel seat(insert laughter here)
$100 chrome grab bar
$100 chrome rear sets
$500 for the used airshock (I'll give that much to him right now myself! $750+ new)
$50 chrome bar ends
___
$12450-$275=$12175
and I haven't even mentioned the audio, camera, dvd etc etc. OR the possibilty of what could have been done to the motor.
I wasn't showing a part out listing. I was showing what it would take to return the major iterms "wrong" with the bike to stock and showing potential value over the average 2002, hence the bike's selling value.Justintime pretty much nailed it, but I'll add one more obvious thing...how are you planning on getting $7500 for the bike after you remove all those parts?
Now lets say someone were to actually pay those overly optimistic prices for used bling parts you listed (not to mention someone stupid enough to want spinners on their bike) and you got someone to spend $7500 on a bike with parts of the suspension missing, no wheels and tires, no exhaust, no triple clamp, no levers, no seats, no grab bar, no hump, no chain, no shield ect.
Now even if your figures added up and that bike made $12175 parted out that would be a whopping $575 profit. $575 for all the time needed shipping it, tearing it down, dealing with buyers, running to the post office ect. Yeah...that's a great deal.![]()
In reality no one would pay ½ of that $7500 listed for a gutted shell of that bike. If you spent months searching ebay for replacement parts to make the bike whole again then maybe you could get $7K for that 3 year old bike provided they didn't trash the engine with their "mad skillz" like they did with the rest of it.
Basically anyone who paid $11600 for that rolling joke is going to be in a hole by thousands of $$$ if they try and part it out.
I have upgraded suspension, turbo, upgraded brakes and lcd's in my mirrors driven by an mp3 player. I have carbon fiber AND chrome. Different strokes for different folks.Am I the only who who is thinking a TV and stereo system on a busa is about the stupidest waste of money in the world anyways? I mean with the wasted dough they put into all that crap they could have bought a turbo or upgraded the handling or done something cool with it. When I am coming down the block on mine I like to have the growl of my pipes by heard not bumping a few 6x9's. Thats just retarded. Not too mention whoever bought this just lost some seroius money cuz it's gotta be a scam and a half
