Summer is here

I wear full leathers all the time. and man do I hate it... The boys feel like they are floating in a cup of hot tea. But I do it anyway... Regardless of the heat there is nothing worse than going through a sweet set of twisties and not realizing your not wearing full gear until your knee rubs. That alone is reason.

I wear my summer ICON gear. Mesh gear with armor. It's not leather, but it's better than nothing. I've done the 97deg summer ride leather jacket thing. Then promptly fell asleep at the table where we all stopped at. The AC was cranking and it put me out like a light.

I must admit that even after my spill last November that I do still ride w/o full gear. Of course, I always ride w/ a helmet!!!

Sometimes I'll hit my 10 mile interstate 285 ride to work in just jeans and a t-shirt (not just short-sleeve). I admit to not always wearing my mesh jacket... but I usually do! I guess I don't wear my riding jacket when I'm in a frickin' hurry... and when I forget. I know, that's bad! When/if I forget at least I do my best to ride even more SANE than usual because I know a crash can come at any time (like i've experienced 1st hand in Hollywood!!!)...

But... I understand how people can forget their full gear. I guess I still don't even have FULL gear. I have gloves, a jacket, helmet (duh?), and that's it... no real riding pants or real riding boots --- just my Jordans!!!

For the most part (99.7%) I wear my jacket and gloves.... and I always wear my helmet and NEVER wear shorts!!! So I think I'm doing right!

Ok, cripes!!!!

I DO wear my crap! I wear my jacket and gloves for rides... and ALWAYS wear my $500 helmet with pride!! LOL!!!

Ok... here's my 'gear'. I admit that I don't have riding boots, though... or riding pants. But I do have a jacket, helmet, gloves.... and very hard buttocks!!!

This is me 3 days ago. Carbon fiber helmet toast, MotoGP one pice suit intact, 1 scratch from my helmet strap. Wear the gear.

The bike(s) can be fixed...
Bike wasn't bad. The frame sliders, solid rear-sets and axle sliders lived up to they're hype.
I went over the bars and landed on the back of my head. The EMT said I was asking how President Eisenhower was doing
