The weather was in the low 70s and the wind was pretty high (15 MPH with gusts up to 33 MPH), but the ride was scheduled and we decided to go ahead. The ride was with a bunch of people that I work with and of course they all ride cruisers. I thought about taking my Volusia, but with the wind thought the 'Busa would be better. Okay, who am I trying to kid I was taking the 'Busa just because!

Anyway with all the bikes in the group (see the pics) which one got the attention at all stops. Of course, the 'Busa! Our first stop was at a convenience store after about 60 miles and the lady working the counter ran over to me and went on and on and on about how beautiful the bike was. Asked what the symbol meant? And how much it cost? When I told her, the little boy with her said, "I told you that was all it cost." She guessed $30K, by the way. She was extremely pumped.

Next stop was for lunch at a KFC. Two 'fellas driving an Expedition came in and spent a few minutes lookin' at it before coming in to eat. As we were getting ready to leave there eyes were fixed on me and the 'Busa. As we came around the restaurant about ready to enter the roadway they were standing at the window cheering. I'm not the best at lip reading, but I think they said, "That's what I'm talking about!"

I had the Tobin seats on and many people thought they were great! Even had one of the old guys (he was actually the lead for the trip) come over to me and tell me he was thinking of getting a 2d bike (his wife had said it was okay) and he really like the way the 'Busa looked. He also asked if mine was lowered because he hadn't seen many sportbikes that he touch the ground on.

Anyway, sorry for the rant but it was nice to hear the enthusiasm of others about the 'Busa. Even with the high winds it made for a great ride!

Here are a few pics of the group of bikes on the ride.

looks pretty sweet....

Too bad for me. Not to many people here know about the Busa. All they know is that it can go fast and that it's a big bike.

Sometimes ignorance cannot be bliss....

The ride was fun. Wish I could have taken some pics of the formation going down the road!

The Busa always get the most attention of the group. I rode
down to Chapel Hill today for Apple Chill. There were over 500
bikes that I know I witnessed with my own eyes. I rode down
with a gixxer1000 and we were illegally parked with a harley
and goldwing. Security (2 ladies) approach to inform us we're
illegally parked, but allow us to remain when we let them know
we're allowing our machines to cool. They agree and sum up
the bikes available. Guess one got all the pub! You guessed
it the harley...just kiddin the Busa of course. Something
mesmerizing it is...catch myself staring at my own baby.

"I told you that was all it cost."
Yep it's the most fun you can have for 10K!  Just don't tell them about buying tires every 4K miles

The Busa draws the most attention unless their is a Honda rune in the group and then it's close.  My relatives made me pull mine out of the garage to take pictures of it today

Was the weather bad?  Tell me there was some important reason you didn't want to get out and rider her!
Hahaha, No actually had got up early and rode with some friends for a couple hours. It was all cleaned up again and tucked away until this mornings ride to work. A friend of mine had a new accessory waiting for me at work today which I'll post a picture of when I get home tonight
