Saw this thread and couldn't believe how ignorant scooter people can be. Reminds me of how some Honda car boards are - their car can do no wrong.

A lot depends on who is riding the Bergman, and who is riding the Busa in the twisties. Have you ever ridden with "Pappy" in the twisties? If he does trade for his FJR 1300...watch the hell out for that "Old Man"

I would tell you to come to the Fall Bash and try to keep up with Pappy, but I guess it's too late for him to smoke you on his Burgamn I just don't know how we are going to deal with him on the FJR

I really really really REALLY hate to say it but Pappy straight up LEFT me in the dust. That man can ride like hell thats for sure, now that he is on a 1300, YIKES......

Kinda happy I cant make the bash.

My girlfriend has a Honda Reflex ABS and while its only a 250 compared to the 650 Burg, its pretty quick and with the motor and gas tank mounted so low it actually handles very well. Great machine for someone looking to be on 2 wheels and not have to shift. It was actually faster going up hills than the 08 Ninja 250 I just sold. (one reason I sold the Ninja.....)
The rider does make the difference. I ride with guy that is 70 something, has the exact same model Goldwing I do....and I cannot keep up with him. I have actually learned a lot riding with him.
