I hate the the headlight low on the front of the bike, droppped head into chest robot look. Naked bikes are cool and all about the mechanicals for me but the attempt at styling this one is a fail. If you're gonna make it naked then do so.
from chats with a local dealer who has had an in depth chat with a sales rep...it will have nothing but ABS.
No TCS, No QS and will be lucky to have more than 140-150hp.....its aimed to compete with the Honda and Kawasaki so it better be cheaper since its looks aren't doing it any favours.

Get rid of the mudflap, give it a cf Akropovic muffler, some bar end mirrors, gsxr flash, ditch the abs, and a black paint job...and I'de ride it.
I kinda like it, but I had a B-King and like those too.
If it had the gsxr frame/handling capabilities and no abs, I'de buy it.
A gsxr1k with dirtbike bars is my next bike anyway.
It's not the new Busa that so many here want, but it's new Suzuki bike with potential, that's good enough for me.
Maybe but with the recent SDS power mode craze its probably not that easy and the EU rules for 2016 are rumoured to lock all such option to control emissions etc.
Also throttle bodies/valves will be smaller so there will be a physical limit...the only real GSXR 1k bits will be the block & gearbox.
I can't see it selling in EU...we're too partial to Aprilia/BMW/Ducati/Triumph and MV...all of whom make a much better packages.
Anyone who compare this GSXS to a Bking clearly never rode a Bking...a bike which on the right road had the ability to hang with any other bike and just needed the cans changed to look cool.

+1 on the B-King.
I set the sag on mine and it handled much better than most would think, and no chicken strips. No it wasn't a gsxr, but it handled great for what it was...and was extremely comfortable. Would have made a great touring bike.
I also had slipons, and the midpipe valve removed, an airbox mod and an unrestricted busa bin flash.
It was night and day over stock in terms of responsiveness. 17/46 and later just 18/46 gearing made it a lot of fun too.
I had it for a year and a half, and my gen2 Busa for 3 1/2.
Really cool to compare, likes and differences. But after owning 750s and 1k's, and always riding someone elses 1k(all makes and years)
I just got tired of heavy bikes. I'm ready to buy another gsxr1k now.
If I could own 3 or 4 bikes, I'de have another B-King.
Yep. That was made to take a share of the market away from Kaw. Not my kinda bike. I hear the Z1000 is shy on power and still heavy as hell. Hope suz did a better job. I'd just take a full on sport bike and strip it down if I wanted a naked bike.
