Got a call today from the dealer I bought my bike from. He has a customer who desperately wants a black/purple busa, and cant get one within a reasonable amount of time, he wants to know IF i would be interested in swapping my bike for a 04 Limited edition, I just had the first service, put the tre, and did the drill mod on my pipe.. thing is he isnt going to swap it even, he said he will give me a good deal but I thought the limited editions were only a couple hundred more than the normal busas... any opinions from you guys would be helpful. I think he should swap me even if he wants it that bad cuz i got a feeling hes making money on both of us.. i have had some crappy luck lately.. what do you guys think...

You shouldn't lose money on the deal.. that's what I think.. you're making the dealer look good, and trust me, he's making $ on both ends!

If you really dig the color you have then don't do it. I have the '03 silver/grey and I love the color and wouldn't swap it for a brand new one if given the chance. If you would like to have the SE, and it will be an absolute EVEN swap, then go for it. Bottom line is if you do the swap, you shouldn't pay ANY money at all, your's is practically brand new and if dude wants it that bad, YOU'RE the one sacraficing, so you shouldn't pay. If anyone is paying anything, it should be the guy that wants yours really bad.

Tell the dealer to go piss up a rope!
ok how the f@#k is that done?

Simple, it's done by physics. The capillary action exerted by the rope will create a vacuum like effect on your urine or that of your inebriated buddy. Just think of it this way. When you light a candle, the wick creates heat that melts wax and heats it until it is combustible. The combustion creates a void in the wick, thus the capillary effect draws more liquified wax to the tip of the wick. Try saturating the rope in a combustible liquid (kerosene or Diesel works well) then light the upper end of the rope and have a field day urinating up it until your bladder is empty. Make sure your buddies are there to witness the trick.

Unless that's a color you just can't live without I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you can't get an even swap. If the stealer charges you anything he's making money 3 times, not just 2. He made money selling you your '03, then he'll make money on you buying the '04 SE and the other person buying your '03.

He called you and asked if you would be interested. I would only trade even up if I were you. You are helping him out so it should cost him money, not you.

I think that only works in the Northern hemisphere.. I think you'd have to piss 'down' a rope in the Southern hemisphere.. but having never tried it, I can only speculate.

Im not a fan of helping the sales scum but if your are happy with your bike you should keep it.

Not to be nit picking but the black and purple is an 04 color not 03. Soo we must assume the bikes are both 04's the dealer is trying to negotiate a trade with.

The client shold go to a different dealer. I have a Purple/Black sitting a a local dealer here in CT.

Excaliber Performance in Plainfiled CT. Obviously your dealer did not make any calls, so I would stay away from his deals.

They should be offering you some money...Ask the dealer who it is that wants your bike and make a deal yourself if your interested in getting a different bike...
