(BABYBUSA01 @ Oct. 30 2006,19:19) i wish you could rig mine up like that!  where did you connect them?  did you run the running lights straight from the battery?  nice work!

There is a brown wire that is reserved for running lights.  It's used on european models, but just sits unused on US models.  It's just tucked up in cowl...
i thought that's what it was one day when i pulled the nose of to do the "air horn" mod. i might consider trying this one as a "winter project". thanks!

Just a FYI, I had my shiftlight powered via the brown wire. But when I'd flip my high beam switch on/off, it'd reset the shift light. no biggie, all was still good, but was kinda aggrivating and have since found alternate power when I re-wired it all.

Very Nice job,,,,,I want to do mine like that.

Could you post a wiring diagram?

Could U please give me a little more details about installation? What had to be epoxied exactly? Do I have to buy a double filament socket? Where do I connect the running light wire to? Im sorry, is just I really hate doing electrical mods but I still go ahead and do it once I get the instruction down packed. Thanks.

Easiest thing to do is buy new 1157 sockets and just use the extra wire inside the upper fairing for your running lights. Everything else will connect the same. I just happen to have some bare 1157 sockets laying around so I used them instead. Mine's also wired different as I rewired the whole upper since I had several splices anyways... Plus this plug looks ALOT more sturdy.

So U saying that I will splice this to the signal wire which is connected to the socket or do I have to buy a double filament socket so one wire go with the signal wire and one wire with the running light?

you'd need to buy a dual filament socket and use that extra wire for the running light and you'd be set.

Or two relays for each turn signal to cut out the power when the turn signal is activated.
Just depend on which is cheaper,a relay or dual filament socket.

How much was the dual filament ?

True a relay would work too, but wouldn't you need 2 of them (one for each side)? And have to hide them? The sockets I bought were $2.49 each and used the stock plastic holder.

I actually went to buy the whole socket/holder before I took the upper off, but got the wrong one and it didn't fit. I think they were around $6 each for the ones I got.

Correct one for each side (two). I assume your using rear stock (Busa) holders (daul filament) ?

(InfiniteReality @ Nov. 07 2006,06:55) Are the rear ones duals??  that never crossed my mind and I have my stock rears laying around too!

Here's what I got,
http://autolumination.com/1156_1157.htm and go down to "Bayonet Pigtail Pigtail Socket Receptacles".

Opps, I meant to say rear brake filament holder. Check with Vman or Revlis to verify, but I do belive you can opt to using it in place.

This looks like a winter project I will do. It looks very easy with all of the info you guys supplied. Thanks for making this possible guys!!
