Yeah, imagine if that were your 13-15 year old daughter and you saw that video. There's nowhere on this earth that sumbich could go to get away from me.

I really don't see where this incident is so cruel...We expect to send our kids to school and not ever face any sort of discipline and in most cases we're not sending the cream of the crop...Depending on what the issue was she probably needed to have her butt kicked by her parents also...
Our culture looks down on damn near any form of discipline...We want to qive queit time, time out or place the kids in the corner...And the result has been beligerance, disrepect and hostile attititudes...Spare the rod, spoil the child...
And it doesn't stop with the kids it continues with adults...When is the last time a person that commited a serious crime was dealt a sentence that fit the crime???It's just never ending...
Most will disagree and my position is some what biased because I generally see/deal with the worst that our society has to offer...
If you allow the kids to break the rules their only going to continue to break the laws...

I think what most people are trippin on is the fact that a teacher is beating a kind and not really beating punching in teh face. I see no prob any whippin MY kids behind but i'd be the only person whippin them...You dont punch a child in the face ever dont care who you are or what they did thats just abuse which is what this guy did. Now if he broke out the paddle i dont think it would be much of a deal but its the punching to the face that gets everyone heated.
On a side note hey if they didnt have this kind of discipline who would create our plastations and other nifty gadgets
I fail to see how a closed fisted punch in the forehead is considered discipline. I do not spare the rod on my boy but would NEVER see the value of a face blow. If the girl were a devient or Violent case don't you think she would have retaliated? This did not happen. The "teacher" should be fired and beaten by the girls dad. I know that historically the chinese place little value on the women of their society but maybe it's time for them to wake the F up. This has me more than a little P'd off!
Your wrong on this one Stunnah. Although I agree more discipline is needed in some homes and schools, violence like that can never be tolerated from a teacher or student. That is way out of line and if I am not mistaken it sounds like arabic to me. More evidence that the islamic faith often has more violence than peace.

It's interesting that we have different perceptions on this topic and I appreciate that... I also knew that I would catch some flack from my post...Most of these adolescents that are being dealt with are of descent physical stature...So you can't spank them like we would normally think...So in essense you have to beat them like their grown...In this case she's just a bit smaller than the instructor...A swift strike to the head with purpose or a spanking with a paddle, which do you think is more effective as a disciplinary deterrent???Kind of comparable to a life sentence or the death penalty...
