Texas fender eliminator

When talking to TF today, they said that someone has ordered the kit without the screws because they were going to use their own black ones. I ordered my kit today and I hope they are going to send me the black screws also. However, just in case, what size are screws and where did you get them.

Thanks

See my above post. They will only send stainless steel screws. I got my screws from a place called Fastenall here in Indiana.

Just spoke to John at Texas Fairing, he is still waiting for screws. But expected them today. Does anybody have one installed and if so do you have any pictures. I would like to see a shot from behind to see how it fits around the tail light. He will supply black screws if you ask for them.

Well I rough installed the fender today.. Hmmm I'm gona have to make sure to check plastick trimming of existing box. I have about 3/8" gap under rear light. Besides that they did a great job preping it and painting. Jon said it has 8 coats of dupont clearcoat on bottom for protection..

I would like to receive pictures from anybody who has one of the fairing kit. Hey Sabor, I noticed you said something about getting screws in Indiana. I am in Indianapolis and if you are near by I would like to take a look at your bike to see what the kit looks like. My email is michaeljevon@email.msn.com.

Kawabuser, try sending that photo to <eeh557@aol.com>. The file may be too large for the other address. Thanks.

Sabor it arrived today, can you send me a picture with yours installed.

Color match (copper)looks good.

Did you see any instructions anywhere with the part?

There was not even an invoice in the box.

If anybody needs a trick license plate mount... I had a local race fab shop make one, and he's going to sell them for $50.

It mounts the license plate in almost the stock location, has mounts for turn signals (I used Lochart-Phillips smaller ones), and does a very clean and well thought out job of it all.

I'm going to upload photos to the One List shared files are for the Hayabusa mail list tomorrow.

How do I get to the One list pix ?
When I get on there I cant seem to find the area for images.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Wonder whats going on with texas fairings...I was billed three weeks ago on my card and still no fender eliminator...and they won`t answer the phone...hope the product is worth the wait...any of you guys that finally got yours installed it yet...whats the verdict?

I talked to them today after I couldn't reach them yesterday and originally they told me that it was on UPS last Friday. Now the story is it will be shipped this Friday because they are waiting on the tail light kits to come in. Also they told me thay they were checking on the availablity of the black screws. Can't get them yet so I told them to ship them with the normal silver screws. I think the product will be worth the wait just this is a small shop and they need to get some more help to answer the phones. I do know that they close at 4 PM CST.

I too would like to know if there were any problem installing the kit?

turbo1300,

The pictures look good. Appears you had
to remove the fuel tank and ? to install?
Hey your back tire looks about like mine! :)
Did Texas Fairing do the painting or did you have it done by some one locally? Thanks for the pics.

Todd, no the tank is off for different reasons. They did all the painting. All I did was bolt it on.
