The Alpine install

You got any pics of his ride? I seem to remember you had some pics when you guys picked that car up, but I gave up looking...too many hits for camaro on the org.

Seems to me that he would have a pretty sweet ride in any parking lot, let alone high school. Congrats on the thumper.

Doug's contributing to his son's early deafness :poke: I had Crunch 12's in my T/A when I was a teenager. Paid for car, radio, amps, and speakers myself. Built my own box. I would tear it apart and rebuild it almost every other week and try something different. Those were the days. still have trouble hearing because of it, that and shooting without protection. Miss the feeling of the base to you inner core and finding every loose bolt in your car.

Thats a good looking setup, time for some darker tint on that window, the f-bodies are great for stereos since they're so open, this was the setup i had in my 91 camaro, when i got rid of the car a year ago everyone was still givin me a hard time about the stuff being 6 years old, built the enclosure myself, used all the right stuff and man it slammed:laugh:

One of these days i'll toss something under the seat of the dodge, dont really care about the daily drivers i'm usually happy with what they come with lol

He had 15% tint and a new alarm put on before we put the stereo in, that is why he was low in money for the stereo equipment.

I have one 12 and it is louder than I can stand, I would love to hear that next time I come over. Looks good Doug. :beerchug:

I was gonna say the same thing. I have tinnitus because of loud rock stereo in car and shooting without earplugs in my youth, althought being around a lot of tank main gun ranges in my 30's probably didn't help either. While he may not listen to you (I didn't) talk to him about how important saving his hearing is......

Already done... He got the hearing speech, the getting a ticket for noise speech, the distracted driving speech, the keep it all clean speech and the how to not get your stuff stolen speech....

He's a pretty darn level headed kid... The good thing about living in a small town is that everyone knows him, everyone knows us... I worked or trained most of the PD so the community will help me keep an eye on him :)

Doug, that's a dang nice car. Tell him to never ever sell it especially not because a woman told him to.
I still have my first car. You never, ever hear anyone say "i am sure glad I sold that cool car I had when I was 16"

thats awesome you did that for the kid! im sure u and he had a great time hooking up his car. ive always preached the importance of having a quality system over just a loud bassy noise box. the fact you guys did it right is great! bet hes stoked!! Cap for father of the year!
