I would have to agree with DAB here~ Not only because my wife is a member here and she's still riding her Katana at the present time.. but also for the fact that non Busa owners that are interested in the Busa may come here to "lurk and learn" about the bike from those that know before running out and purchasing one~ I was on here for almost a year before I finally got a Busa parked in my garage~
I gotta think it's more about attitude and your basic trolls that just pop in to stir up the chit~ Then again.. for all I know.. I could be on the 'list' myself~ I'm sure I've pissed off a few peeps here a time or two with my not so PC posts...

Gotta have a Busa? Be able to prove it? I am not posting my VIN anywhere on the net, although I proudly post pics of my busa. So does that mean BT gets booted? I would hope not. Lots of folks looking to buy a busa stop here to do research, I was one of them for a few months.

Just so you know that I consider myself one of the good guys, I have helped out fellow members with free parts, and met some other members as well. I've bought stuff from Cap and I participate in the raffles when it's something that I don't already have.

Wanna have a "members only" forum? Cool, and I'm in, but that was tried before over on Labusas and didn't go so well. (I just watched the fallout and I quickly tired of the porn and foul language). It's gotta be a pay to play kind of deal with no exclusions unless you prove to be just plain abusive. Dissenting opinions, or asking old questions should not qualify someone as a "fugg".

I agree that there are some newbies that need to learn the ways of this particular forum, and yes there is some sifting through some crap, but isn't that a price we pay in a free and open society? Do we really want to become "exclusive" to the point that others think we are snotty eliteists that don't tolerate new guys and gals?

I don't know, just some food for thought, and I understand the sentiment behind it, but it looks like a slippery slope to me...

You know what guys - some of you are just flat hostile.  I hit this board because ~12 of you guys own 'Busas in the local area and we go on rides together.  I don't trash your bikes, I don't trash your videos, sometimes I comment on bike books, schools, etc and if there is a 'non-bike' thread (like 'what is your favorite movie line') I feel qualified to comment.

I don't own a Busa, I have a Triumph.  You guys have great bikes but mostly I hit this board to see ride videos and ride pics and to talk to some of the guys I ride with.  

About half the posts out here are just hostile, mean, angry or coming from a place of serious insecurity.  <span style='color:blue'>I ride for fun, nothing else, just the pure joy of applied physics by way of a sportbike.</span>  If you guys want me to go, fine, delete my account and I won't come back.

You are right though - this board has become very angry of late, lots of conflicts, lots of ego nonsense.  <span style='color:crimson'>Any of my bros and sisters out there - you wanna ride, hit my personal email:  tspoole@earthlink.net  We'll get out and have some fun without worrying about who is the coolest cat on the fence.</span>

By the way:  No one ever did help me out with my need for a chrome front wheel for a 2000 'Busa.  The guy I ride with isn't a big 'net nerd' and dented the hell outta his front wheel.  What'd you think I wanted it for, my necklace

You make it too exclusive, you will start to push away potential members that would have been good members... Most start this site not knowing much about the busa or forum edicate... It takes time for them to ramp up and learn... I personally think you should leave it open as it is so its still a great site for information for everyone. Since when were we trying to hog all the info. to ourselves... After all, who wants to go talk in a forum where no one needs questions answered and everyone just wants to talk about how big their d$%& is...  Not me, I generally don't mind answering newbie questions and such and a little banter even if the question / comment has been made 100 times is okay by me...

Well it sounds like I'm a prime canidate to be booted (registered a few days ago, don't own a busa, in fact have a GSXR1000, don't have anything to contribute busa wise, etc.) Up until I read this thread, I thought this place was great. For the most part I was invited here, and everyone (except this thread) have been very nice so far. I've always been a busa fan and would like to own one in the future, but who knows when that will be. In the mean time I would like to learn as much as possible, but if I'm not welcome, I'll gladly leave. Just say the word.

I do not yet have a Busa, my current ride is up for grabs. As soon as it is gone, I'll have one. I been lurking for some time. I actually started posting in the past few months, hopefully with some welcome imput to some of the respective topics. This is a great site, I don't think it needs much of a change if any. I don't think a "members only" area will change that much at all.

Whatever. If people here, myself prolly leading the way, are doing things in such a way as to seriously offend members, they should be told, and if the problem continues, booted. I see no need to start an "Elite" area, I think it would be snobbish and patently ridiculous. We are all so different, come from so many areas and walks of life, this is what makes the board such a great place. The whole post count, donating member status thing is getting silly enough. people think that just cuz you post a lot on a site you know all about it, or just cuz you got a spinny bar under your name, you're cool. It's as if some people never belonged to any clubs as children, and feel the need to buy or P/H there way into having some respect from the noobs.
As long as people abide by the rules, who cares what they post about or what bike they ride. Some of you may dislike me, but I'd still have a kind thought, prayer or help anyone out that I could, regardless of what they rode........
Guys this is not real life, at least it's not my real life, just an interesting diversion. If at any time it ceases to be a pleasant experience, I'll just go away.

I agree, I'd love to get a Busa, but currently, it aint gonna happen, I don't have enough money. Actually, I'm looking at a ZRX-1200 to ride in the meantime because I don't have a bike that run's (bad luck with all mine so far, just ask GMBusa, he's helped me with most of the bike problems I've had), plus being 6'10" tall and 350+ lbs kinda limits the comfort zone of bikes to busa's(which I LOVE) and other big bikes. any way, I joined this forum looking for Busa owners, trying to get multiple angles on Busa ownership so I know what I'll be getting into. If you want a members only section, great, but at least let us view the tech ?'s and post in the general forum. Thanks for listening to my .02

I knew it would be taken the wrong way. I was making reference to the motorcycle itself and the fact that it is the top dog in the industry.
Because we own a Busa which is Elite-Control, rule, or domination by such a group or class
Of course, I'm probably wrong on this also.
