The Dragon is getting ready to strike

yes wouldnt they create the effect of holding your hand out the window more drag?
And yes could you explain im slightly retarded

pushing the air(like ur handout the window) is not the most efficient way of creating down force. you could write a book on wing shape so i wount get into that, but to say that it isnt so much the push(or snowplow effect, if thats easier) its the low/high pressure areas created above and below that create the force wanted.

think of it this way, you do not suck the liquid out of a glass with a straw. the extierior pressure is higher than the inner part of your mouth, when unequal, the pressures will even out, thus the liquid in your mouth.

now think of the liquid as the car/bike, when the pressure under a car is low, with a higher exterior presure, the car will be brought down to the tarmac.

ok that may have been over simplified but i hope it enlightens you somehow.

Post some more pics of those canards.

When they first came out I was like...oh that is so gay, its like putting a huge fricken wing on a honda civic, but then I read all about how they work and I opened my mind to them, but I still thought they looked atrocious! Post some more pics and change my mind!

Oh and that "throwing star" rear footpeg mount. Boy your a sick puppy! Good to know there is more of us out there!!!!

Im real confused now so ill just take your word for it

If u stare at the pic long enough, it actually does look like a dragon

not to bash the front "wings" but shouldnt you create a low pressure zone instead of the high drag set up that is currently on it.  from what ive read the shape is just as important as the angle.  looks sweet and very custom.

Matt
No they actually are proven to add 1-2mph on the top.  Just a touch more on the whee.  We shall see.
how do they increase top speed?  down force ussually means more friction, unless the "wing" is more like a drag reducer of sorts at high speed.  im confused....

Matt
Increase by keeping traction, because the weel can become light and hop at extreme speeds.

how do they affect normal riding conditions? ie. high speed runs in the mountains or back country roads? of are these really just 1/4 (1/8) mile and straight top end helpers?

So I should suck my bike through a straw?
