The issues of the world......

I can't disagree with that.....people are most definitely addicted to their phones....even older people....it drives me nuts sometimes.....

Nothing more annoying than trying to have a conversation with someone face to face and they cant leave their phone alone....

Yep, if someone is talking to me and their phone rings, and they answer...I leave.
Expecting an important call or an emergency is one thing, and sure, glance at your phone, if it is, poltiely say that you have to answer this, no problem.
Otherwise, you can call them back in a minute, when we're finished...or else we're finishef right now.
Everyone's time is valuable.

During my brief employment at Home Depot, I was given a phone, it's primary function was scanning for items although there were times when it rang with some customer on the other end asking about sales and how many of a certain product we had in stock...

If I was helping a customer and the phone rang, I'd ignore it....the customer service lady absolutely hated me, she'd berate me every chance she got for my not answering the phone, she even went as far as complaining about me to the store manager.........who knew my background as he hired me....and left me alone.....

Now when I go there for something, they have phones with ear pieces and when you think you have their full attention, they are really talking to a customer on the phone......most times they will hold up a finger as a symbol for me to stay quiet so they can finish the call....I generally pivot around and walk away....sometimes right out of the store without getting what I was after.....I will then take the time to drive across town to the other home store where they have no phones except on the counter......

One draw back to that is, I can see Home Depot from my house so it's close by.

About 6 weeks ago there was a house fire near me.....close enough that there was charred debris carried here by the wind...

I recently found out that a hybrid car started the fire.....it was a plug in model and was in the car port when it caught fire, they still aren't exactly sure how yet and I was told it could take a year or more to figure it out.....

The fire fighter I talked to said the fire was really hot and spread quickly and as the battery is near the fuel tank, the fuel tank actually exploded which really spread the fire....

Sadly, it's been all this time and the remnants of the house is still there and half of it is still standing.....the neighbors must hate having to look at that every day....

Now Bee. Here you go again. Trying to tell us that EVs have a fire problem. All propaganda.

Could have been a critter chewing on a wire as well......crazier things have happened......

I've not heard of a hybrid starting a fire before....not saying it hasn't happened though.

Oh sure there are. In the infamous 6100% linked data, virtually every hybrid fire that occured was caused from the battery.
