First off, please let me say that we did not have a plan other than getting to Maine and getting to Shawns retirement in Pensacola. I will apologize now to those members that we did not stop to see, we did our best but sometimes time dictated what where we would go and most of the time we didnt decide where we were stopping for the night until early afternoon when we started calling to find a room. We woke up in the morning and headed a general direction. It was very nice, no schedule, no where to be, no plan, just ride and enjoy. So, we have about 700 pictures of our own, and I am sure semi has a boat load as well. Yes, we rode the beemer, packing for 2 people for 3 weeks just wasnt going to happen on the busa. So, here are some pictures and a little story as I can remember, I hope I can remember the locations and days but I will do my best as it all ran together after a while. We rode just over 5200 miles and through 22 states.

Stopped just short of St Louis to get some fuel.

After we headed out, we rode over to Ace's and spent the night. Thank you so much Ace for the accommodations, the cabin was great and it was good to see you and meet the family. Interesting trio fact: We road all day to deliver Jack in the Box tacos to another member.
After we left Ace's, we headed north along 7, runs along the river on the East side of Ohio. Semi starting feeling something strange in his front end so we hunted around and found a dealer that had brake pads in Pittsburg. That is what we thought it was. Wrong, wound up being a wheel bearing that the idiot mechanic at the dealer said was good to go. We found a local shop, Scott Pinks, from a guy at Cycle gear that took care of it.

While we were waiting for the dealer to open, which was a waste of time but we didnt know it, semi has something for dinner, cant say what it was so you will just have to guess. Then continued on to Maine.

Interesting Trio fact, we rode all the way to Maine to stay one night and "try" the lobster as neither of us had had it before.

We then turned our sights south and headed for Philadelphia. Random beach pics, semi collected sand at every beach we stopped at.

Philadelphia. We wanted to see the Liberty Bell, but alas we got there too late you must have a ticket which were all sold out for the day. So we just walked around. I really hate that all of the pictures I have are not in order, makes it hard to tell the story. But we left Philly to hot foot to Maryland.

We found a Best Western in Denton Maryland and stopped for the night. We rode into town and found this cool little public house. The night was perfect and I bet we spend 15 to 20 minutes talking bikes with other patrons after we pulled in.

I think from there, we rode down to Virginia, thank you to Omar and Vabs for putting us up for the night and feeding us Lasagna. We ate it real good and didnt pick it apart. Back story there LOL.

After we left Omar and Vabs, we headed west then south. Went to the Colonial Jamestown colony and took a ferry. I had never been on one before so it was a treat.

More..we did our very best to stay off the interstates, took back roads and two lane highways. It took longer, but we met some funny people and only ate at local establishments.

Then the only way off the island without back tracking was the Fort Fisher Ferry, it was full but the attendant squeezed us on so we wouldnt have to wait. It was a hot day. Then again, moving on.

What kind of tires on each bike, and how are they now with 5k+ miles?
3 weeks to tour on a bike with no set schedule sounds like a great time:beerchug:
