Damn Trey, that thing looks like a bumble bee!
How did you come out cost wise now that it's complete? What year?
Ha, I came out just OK. I sometimes pushed purchase before thinking things through, or before I searched more or did more homework. Needless to say I have a few extra parts, but on the bright side, I can either rebuild another S1000RR with similar damage, or put this one back to mostly yellow.
It is a 2011, and I ended up spending around $2k on parts
, but had it track ready around $1k in just over a week from purchase... I will tone it down next time, but it has been a great learning experience and nice sense of accomplishment. Thanks to everyone for the links and advise sent.
List of extra part (don't ask why):
Complete exhaust system minus 1 O2 sensor and heat guard
Exhaust slip-on (yes I purchased just the can before I purchased the complete system)
Pair of bar ends
Complete yellow tail section
Front master cylinder
Rear master cylinder
Tank pads
Shorty levers (yes an extra pair)
OEM Brake lever
Shorty clutch lever
Nuts, bolts, bearings, etc.
I am trying to catch up with Shawn in the extra spare parts department.
