I have often wondered, why are trucks allowed to use the road?Or is it supposed to be off limits to them?

It is a U.S. highway, nothing illegal against trucks driving on the road. Usually a bad judgment call. As Bogus said, roads are not clearly marked very well.

TN and NC do not permit trucks on US441 through the Smokies...it seems like they could do the same for 129???

Saw a sign that said trucks should consider alternate route. But if you werent looking for it, you wouldnt see it. Also, its placed too far into the route. no place for a truck to turn around after you see the sign
