Ok guys I’ve been gone for a good bit. Bike was tore down and I’ve got poop wrong with me. Dr’s dunno what it is, I’ve about killed myself with anxiety and panic attacks.... but you can only deal with this kinda stuff for so long before you just get fed up with it and stop letting it drag you down. Whatever happens, happens, right lol.
Well I’m there now, I do wanna apologize to a couple of you for dropping off the radar. I lost my phone and contacts and just became a depressed pile of dirty laundry.
i am, however down almost 30lbs!
But we aren’t here for me, without further ado , the mistress.

Whos arm , and did it feel lighter than the stock arm ? Looks nice , and keep the Chin up while bob, and weaving ;)

Yea, it’s a Thompson pro street model. As for weight it honestly feels to weigh about the same. When I got it the bearings weren’t seated proper and one end where the pivot bar goes through wasn’t perfectly round so the dust cover wouldn’t go on. Other than that, it’s a decent arm for a budget price. Also need to drill and tap the arm on the brake side to put in a clamp for the abs sensor wire and the brake line.

So just curious if u feel any difference in the turns with that amount of stretch. I do like the looks but I ride with a lot of bikes that kill me in the turns partly because I'm no corner carver but I do what I'm comfortable with and just catch up after the turn but I rode with an r1 with some extensions on it last night and we were only running light to light and I wasn't really in my game but he was able to launch on me and I was barely able to reel him in before the next light. Just wondering if a stretch like that would allow me to launch harder and still be able to at least do what I do now in the turns.

@Dopey ...don't do it man. It's what I tell everybody. Unless you are drag racing at the track every weekend dont do it. Ride-ability goes right out the fuggin window. Wheel base is prolly the most important factor when building a sport bike. Rake and trail, suspension n' blah blah blah for sure, but wheelbase. 1" makes a difference. 4 and greater makes it redic. You'll get opinions like... "I can carve corners as good or better than my buddies with my stretched bike!"
Well...yer buddies can't ride for shi7 then. IMO.
You wanna beat them light to light downtown...practice your launches. You'll perfect it. Yer front might leave the pavement a few inches for a short distance but it can be mastered.
If you want to stretch a bike for looks,be cool at bike night etc...I say thats awesome.
My bike is an' absolute nightmare to ride. Its extreme in many categories. It took some getting used to...and it still scares the krap outa me in the twisties. With the stretch,330 rear tire, unpredictable air ride suspension and turbo... Its border line useless in a corner. I still push it hard, try my best, but it is not for the faint of heart.
Give it some long hard thought my friend...you're trading a pretty decent cornering bike...not GP or Gixxer 600 cornering performance but good enuff for the average dude right. Some of these guys are very fast on the track with a Busa, they got video to prove it.
Food for thought bro,
Rubb.

This rubb guy is certifiably a wacko, don’t listen to him and all his rideability nonsense.
that 4” with a 1” front 1.5” rear is still just fine in curves. I will note however I am one of those “friends who can’t ride for shi7”
Seriously though, the ride quality is still really good, but I also kept stock wheels and didn’t slam the bike when I lowered it. My buddy has a 2” stretch but a 330 in the rear and not lowered at all and his rides like absolute dog poop. I mean you have to put legit force into pushing the bars in turns.
also, remember the bike from Batman? That’s what rubb rides, do with that info as you wish :)

Hey...my bike! @Klutch556 Did you wash it and change the turbine fluid...charge up the Flux-Capacitor like I asked. I won't let you borrow it again...you know that right. Yer on thin ice as it is Mister.
Rubb.

Update: make sure your little c clips that hold the brake and clutch pedals on are seated good in their slots.
i was in 5th gear rollin up to a red light and found my clutch foot catching nothing but air... pedal was barely hanging above ground.
rolled into a gas station and procured a few bread twist ties from the little old lady in there and I’m got rollin again. Could have gone hella bad though if that linkage had snapped.
check an recheck fellas!

Your "clutch" lever is perhaps the shifter lever??

But yes, those circlips can be a bit finicky...

You must drive a standard transmission car...
Manual :)
I just like to drive / ride poop. The technical terms and names and how they work don’t interest me. Come from a family of mechanics and I had ZERO aptitude for it lol.
only reason I work on my own bike is because I’m broke af now that the woman is out of work lol.
scary as hell riding something I worked on

I find with my all stock one that it will turn fine and corner well But as was said you have to e Tell It To Turn with conviction
