Thinking about a Hayabusa.

After an hour in the saddle ask if your R1 friends if they can pick up the pace so they can meet up with you when you stop for gas.

Have you seen the tortured faces of some others on differant bikes(gsxr, 916, R1)after a few hours of riding?

A stock Bussa' is much faster than an R1 with jets and a pipe. Way faster. Like
drive away. You can wheelie a stock Bussa' as far as you want. These are the facts.
Comfort wise their is no comparison. Buy the Bussa' and "never look back." A couple
of guys on here own R1's and will tell you the same thing.

I am thinking about getting a busa and getting rid of my very quick and very modified TLR..........My friends with very modified R1's are trying to talk me into a R1........they say I won't be able to power wheelie the Hayabusa and that is will handle poorly.............I am interested to know if any of you guys have raced modified R1's and what is the highest HP 4-1 exhaust..........I sat on a busa today..........man did it feel nice and not that heavy.........Oh by the way I got my TLR down to 480#'s with full fuel.........what is relistic with a Busa weigh wise............thanx for you help........

Mine is bone stock and I just weighed it today, 550 pounds full of fuel. I have heard that a couple of fully race ready Busa's are about 390 pounds dry, depends on what size fuel tank wet. This bike is great. That's at least my opinion. See ya.

How could you not wheelie a bike with the torque of the Hayabusa? I roll on the throttle in 2nd gear, and she rides right up.

I can tell you that the Busa is embarrassingly faster and quicker than the R1 at every speed.

On the long straight at Mosport, I walked past the R1s so bad they looked like 600s.

Whether you can beat them in the corners is up to you. If the R1 rider is as good as you are, he'll beat you.

Some "friends", if they're going to blow smoke up your tail pipe. The Busa is a dream to handle and easy to get as much air under the front tire as desired and in some cases undesirable. Yea it may be heavy, but I know a R1 and ZX11 I ride with that thinks its too fast/quick for them.....
