Thinking About A Second Bike?

Watched a bloke on a gsxr going around the track ,he set the fastest time by over 2 seconds ,bmw zx10 r1 all there ,was it the fastest bike no,was he the best rider yes, pound for pound the best you can get ,also the hayabusa is a lot of bike for your money when you consider a bmw r1 is £15000 hayabusa and gsxr under £10000 English pounds

View attachment 402314 View attachment 402315 That is my second bike... The M109R. The perfect two bikes, if u only need two. Big loud cruiser for milling about, and the bus for trips or mile burning. I will say, I am buying my buddies R1 and R6. The 1 for a track bike, and the 6 just because he needs to unload it and I'm getting a deal. Will keep that around for friends that might want to leave their cruiser at home for a day.
But for 2 bikes, u can't go wrong with a bus and a 9.
Btw, the 9 is no joke. Mild bolt ons and she has 110/108. Almost too torqy to enjoy a smooth ride!

Just a question. How much does it cost to register your bikes?. In New Zealand we pay for the hayabusa or any bikes over 601cc a hefty sum of $528 per year so having more than one bike can bust the wallet.

Because I love this picture! *** Disclaimer *** the Red and Blk busa is not mine - but she is part of the family!

Currently, the MCM and Snooki fleet consists of:
2001 Busa
2008 Busa
2010 R1
2012 Ninjette
2015 GROM

The two busas are very different in terms of smooth feel and handling, power and delivery.
The R1 is an on/off throttle that wants to dive into a corner and the stability and smoothness is different/better than anything that I have ever ridden.
The wife's Ninjette is a fantastic starter bike
I don't even know what to say about the GROM - it is awesome to ride... my last two visits to the Dragon I have spent more time on the GROM than anything else... by far... I ride the GROM on the Dragon for fun and Everything else for pics...

As has been said, each bike has a different ride and a different purpose. On top of the bike, what mods/changes you do to make it yours customize and personalize it even more. I still want:
an M-109r, a Duc 999s (or R muwahahahahah!), a nightster or a 48 to tinker with and a BMW tourer.

As has been said. If you have the ability, why not? You can't take it with you, that's for sure. I am at the point where I invite friends riding and just tell them to bring gear.

Won't lie to u...I am not enitely sure! Wife does the bills, but I believe it is only about $100 per bike per year. It does get expensive around my bday (when licensing is due here) as the DD cars, bikes, clasic car, boat and trailers add up!
At least I don't have to pay to relicense all of my guns! Haha

Well it's your money and your life - but I have to agree with others, that if you really want another bike it would be
better to have 2 that were different than 2 that were almost the same.

The way you posted - you wanted opinions on this subject - maybe not the results you wanted IF you had your
heart set on the bike you mentioned.

I like both my bikes and don't plan on giving up either of them anytime soon.

They each are great to ride but different too.

Good luck with what every you decide to get - and please post pictures of your 2nd bike when you get it.

I kind of agree. My Busa and ZX14r are a lot the same. There are differences for sure but I wish I would have got a FJR1300 or Concours as my second bike rather than the ZX14r. But I still enjoy riding both!

My next bike will be an RSV4. At some point, I want a Concours for daily.

Waiting for Red's reply to this with a picture of his stable....

Every bike has a purpose. But you own a busa not a Harley. Unless your doing major upgrades you don't need a spare. But we are human and things we do do not have to be rational. You want it and can afford it get it. I will always have a spot saved for my first love if I ever find her.
