Thinking about getting the Airtech +6 street tail

If the bike is lowered quite a bit, you're pushing your luck at around 5-6in over stock on a Gen II

Just curious to what's the side pieces for (ttp-138)? Also will I be able to still put my air ride air tank and pump in the light pods?

I made the side wings for a customer and many use it to keep all the rode junk out of the insides. You can pop rivet them or attach self tapping screws or just drill a couple holes around each side brace and use tywraps, your choice. Just trying to help America.

Yes, your side pods are not affected.

I guess that's out because my 1Lb bottle fits in between the two bars to the frame in the back. Same thing with the small compressor on the other side

The main difference between the two would be the slope of the taillight area. The Airtech is made to keep the contours of the original bike where the catalyst has a different slope.

Here is a pic if mine with an Airtech +6 street tail

Ok, I just ordered my tail and its going to take 4 weeks before they can ship it out. I'm going to need as much help as you all can give when I start to install this thing. I really appreciate all the help and info I received from u all in this thread

I Finally got done going on Vacation. (wifes a teacher so we d a lot in summer) . I will be tearing into the tail (hopefully ) this weekend. I will post pics . Plan on taking the undertail off when marking the tail section for drilling. Should make it easier for lining up the hump.

You're going to love your new AirTech Tail. Taking your time to fit everything will be well worth it.

Hope to start tomorrow. I know it will look great, don't know when I will be able to paint it though. Looking at getting the bike wraped

got the tail on It wasn't as bad as I thought. I will post pics later. the 2 side bolts where the frankenstein bolts go is the only one that was off a little .

DON'T use those bolts! They will crack your tail section!

I bought the Airtech tail over the catalyst because there was a little more styling on the Airtech vs the Catalyst. Look at the "turn signals" and you will see what I mean

I didn't use that type. I just didn't know what to call them so people would know what bolts i'm talking about. its the only spot where I could have drilled better.. postpics after I get the Tiger Racing under tail on

Installing the extended Tiger tail is a pain . NOBODY has pics of where they cut the end off it to fit the +6 ext. tail section so its kind of nerve racking. Should be ready to do the final cuts tomorrow. If anyone has pics PLEASE post them!!! I've seen all the ones for the stock length its simple cause the undertail is made for it . The extended one is longer so it can fit the extended tails up to 12".

Please take allot of pics cause I have a feeling that I'm going to have problems. I went with the intergrated tail light that way I don't have to cut the turn signal pods

I took a lot! I have the integrated light too. Putting the tail on isn't bad

Still need to sand and spray the tail also wire up the duel battery kit. If you have a gen 1 and are doing the +6 tail section I will have a template made for cutting the tiger tail section. Cutting it was a pain and I was afraid that I was gonna ruin it but it came out awesome! I will post pics of all the tools and a step by step by the end of the week.
