Thanks for the info, that is a bit of a concern with bending over the tank. I've heard a few pros and what seems to be more cons about the posture...guess I'll just have to find out!

Hey Monkey Butt, thanks for reaching out. I mentioned I have watched most YouTube videos and yours are certainly on the list...in fact your reviews I have watched twice- initial and longish ride (haven't watched your technicals i.e. oil change, tail delete, etc but will watch!)
Unscripted here, but to those that see this I would highly recommend his videos- they're high quality, informative and entertaining!

I owned a Gold Wing and a Busa at the same time
There are pros and cons to both bikes.
However it was nice to always have a choice as to which bike to ride.
The one thing I wish my Busa had was a cruise control - But you wouldn't have
to worry about that with a Gen 3 bike.

I doubt that if you purchase a Gen 3 that you would regret it as it would be
just another excellent bike to ride.

Life is short - go for it.
 
Before I bought my gen 3 I thought I may not ride It that much but now that I have it I wish I could ride it everyday but I can’t. It is such a smooth ride. I have hand numbing issues everyday sometimes just eating or typing, I don’t think I would be able to ride if it weren’t for the cruise control. I installed Helibars and lower pegs and taller windscreen which really makes it a pleasure to ride.
 
I was in your same boat. I use to track but I got out of it and went to touring. I have a 2021 wing dct and absolutly love it. I miss the track already. Picked up a 2022 busa for some thrill and speed. I wont track it but damn it is one awesome machine. I take it out when the wife does not want to ride. Pull the trigger. You will not regret. Pics for fun.

Currently my main ride is a 2018 Honda Goldwing Tour DCT. I bought this a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoy it. It's obviously significantly different than a Busa but has been a great ride. Now comes the new Gen 3 Hayabusa...this has kinda done the same thing the Goldwing did to me but from the other end of the spectrum. Whereas the Busa was a 'young man's' ride, Suzuki has apparently smoothed it out and sent bike to 'finishing school.' I think the new Busa is appealing to riders in my demographic and would be a nice addition to the Goldwing.

I have been doing my homework on the Hayabusa and watched nearly every YouTube video out there. Looking for opinions on why you have your Busa and how you use it. I can see some distance rides, but probably not multi-day distance rides as I would on the Goldwing.

What say you? Looking for opinions, insight or any thoughts to elaborate upon...

Awesome bike, owned 4, all three generations. The G3 feels like it weighs less but doesn’t, handles better and has a lot of nifty gadgets including cruise control. 5 weeks after I got mine I took a 4200 mile round trip to Sturgis. It’s been called a sport tourer. I’m very happy. Best of luck.

Hi. Welcome. I will be 74 next year. I have a 1999. When I bought it I thought it was to slow. I had a ZX11 with 1300 kit and NOS (247 HP) Now I am making mine a little more powerful. I am bumping up the HP to 850 to 1000 HP. So the busa is the best bike to modified for anything you want to do with it.
