Damn glad we get to lane share in California.

I wish we could lane share/split here. I ride in heavier traffic than in your video and have to sit in it. You need to aim your camera better.

So glad this is allowed in California, cannot imagine how it would be like to sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Guys who have never split lanes shake their heads at this practice, calling it dangerous and unnecessary

It would be a nice option. I would be scared to do it with all the great drivers and passengers I encounter. I can see doors flying open and last second no signal lane changes to nowhere now.

It's a new camera, and I'm playing with the settings. In 1080 mode, the camera won't zoom in or out. Still learning.

They give us Texas rider the option a few years ago and I guess it is still allowed. At the time it was the same as the helmet law, had to had medical insurance of xx amount of $ or taken a MC safety course. If I remember right the traffic had to be going less than 20mph and we could not go more than 5mph more than the traffic. I was always to scared to do it as the idiot drivers, cars that apparently don't come with signals and as stated the fear of doors flying open.

It takes some getting use too.

Even though Cali has been letting us lane share for awhile cagers still try and close the gaps on us.

I believe the speed limit for us is 30mph and no more than 5mph over.

The riders that ruin it for us are the ones splitting at 70 or 80 between cars just for hell of it.

had to squeeze my butt cheeks everytime you split lanes. i dont think i'd ever lane split where it was allowed.

maybe your lanes are wider than ours . I don't ever see enough space here in our state to do that .

I don't think it's so much the setting as the positioning, it would help to aim it to show more of the road ahead. Is it the GoPro HD?

I was thinking the same thing--New York Drivers are so crazy--you almost couldn't trust them not to do something studip when you split!!

It's a Drift 170HD. When It's set on 720, it allows zoom in and out, and shows more of the road, but it does still need some fine tuning. One of the things I hated seeing on videos was too much sky, and not enough road.

I'm still adjusting the placement on the helmet, so I'll get the sweet spot soon.

I push the limits of getting between cars without technically being in the same lane as they are while things are moving. But when traffic stops, I have to stop.

Here is another test video. Camera adjusted to show more of an up angle.
