Good God this an old thread!! Haha I've learned so much in the last 10 years thanks to the forums. Still have the old blue bike. It's down to bare frame, as I am rebuilding it from the ground up..... again. Just had the frame and swing arm powder coated. Just not the same one. I have a DME now. This is what it looked like before I stripped it down. I'm painting it GREEN!!!
Yes revalving even stock shocks are a good idea, def when you lengthen. Also a stiffer spring due to the length, at 66” I think, and 200 lbs, most will say something like a 1100lb spring is necessary, check into that.
