It seems as if 2 of the bends are causing the large hole to shift forward. We know that it fits perfectly on most all the units we have sold and yet a few folks like yourself have told us the same thing about the large hole. Is there a difference between an 08-09 and a 10? as far as wing position is concerned? I'm just scratching me head why most of the customers are installing them and they fit like a glove and a few others have this large hole issue. I have compared all the wings on the shelf and they are all formed (angle wise) the same. Is it possible for you to tweak the 2 angles that the large hole is on to get it into position properly and I wil send you a UPS return tag to send it back to me for comparison? I don't have a gen2 to compare with.

Well what I'm going to do is give the bellypan to Hayabusa4life. He has an '09 and he will try to fit it to his bike. If it fits, then the some of the '08's are flukes, if it doesn't he will do a full write up about making it fit, etc.. I'm sorry, I'm leaving for vacation for like a week and a half, and don't want to keep dragging my feet here. This seems like the better deal for everyone here.
If I were to change the two angles to bring the big hole closer to where its supposed to be, it would change the "height" of the front of the piece, and I'm afraid the front wouldn't lock into the stock piece anymore.
Again I'm gonna let Wilson try it on his, and I know he will do a proper write up with pics, etc. I just feel like I'm letting you guys down on this, and need to get this project moving.

Can all of my test fitters tell me if you had the rectifier recall done or not? we can't figure out why some fit and some don't.

The rectifier changeout shouldn't have affected it at all-the bracket isn't removed, just the 2 bolts holding the rectifier to the bracket.

Guy, I have had the rectifier replaced. Simple manipulation got it where it needed to be.

What purpose does the wing serve, even stock, is it just an airflow thing, my stocker no longer fits due to the bracing on my arm, if its drastic to have it on vs. off see if i cant make one work

It's strictly a cosmetic and airflow thing. It also cures herpes.
