30 years old.  I got hearing aides 2 years ago($6000).  Significant hearing loss in left ear and moderate loss in right ear.  The only thing I hear is the ringing.

I just had a hearing test, in order to diagnose the problem.

My Tinnitus, nearly paralizes me at times.
Stress accentuates it. Caffiene. But mostly, parrallel frequencies.

It's said that, the human body operates at 12volts more or less.
Like every other living being and most electronic machinery.

The noise isn't really a noise.
If it were you could take a microphone, stick it in your ear and record the noise. But you can't.
What it is, is the frequency generated by the bodies power supply. These alpha waves resonate a frequency of up to 40hz or so.
It just so happens the Earth resonates a similar frequency. Well, actually from 0-75 hz but were in tune with the 40hz frequency.

Example, find a telephone pole with a transformer on it. Press your ear up to the pole.
Hear that?
THats the frequency those of us with Tinnitus are hearing/feeling.
There is a project going on using sound cancelling technology.
The problem is that the human body doesn't have a constant frequency, its difficult to match it consistantly.

What??

...
Interesting read to be sure

, not sure if the brainwave frequency and EM lightning frequency arent apples and oranges though, something to ponder

I bookmarked the site for further reading, physics is my thing.

Anyway the aluminum hat that I wear protects me from alien thought control and any stray Schumann waves.

On a serious note, thanks for the link

I have the ringing mostly in my left ear. Probably caused by radio mike on my left shoulder for years. It is irritating for sure.

They are the happiest "Tinnitus Free" people I have ever seen.

"The remedies are really not a magic potion which can bring back your hearing and cure your tinnitus overnight. They are homeopathic preparations that are designed to heal your body from within.

These cochlear damage tinnitus remedies are a unique blend of natural homeopathic ingredients formulated to heal the damage that has occurred in the sensitive inner ear organs.

As these start to heal, so the tinnitus starts reducing."

Mike's got fairly severe hearing loss...years of working in loud places and driving around in his '65 Mustang with all that metal to reverberate the sounds

I don't know if he's got tinnitus or not though...

I've been lucky despite years of trying to ruin my earing by playing music far too loud, concerts, etc...I instantly wake up if the electricity goes out

I'm not kidding, that usual hum that most don't even notice is very noticeable to me, I can hear when someone's got a TV on in another room of the house (just that low buzz gets to me), the cat deterrent with it's high-frequency "inaudible to humans" emittance would give me migraines the second it went off; it's pretty frustrating and has led me to sleeping with ear plugs in most of the time now. Everything wakes me up...

I'm ultra sensitive to sounds and that gets pretty annoying at times...there's another whole "syndrome" for folks like me it seems...explains why I want to strangle those around me crunching ice or chomping on an apple like a horse LOL

Constant ringing with me, I'm not hearing as good anymore. There are lots of times Im asked if I could hear a noise and I can't. I messed my hearing up shooting guns when young with no protection. Race cars with open headers... All dumb stuff I pay for now.

I have it. its not that bad yet but it seems to get worse every year. The only time I really notice it is when there is nothing else goin on, normaly when its really quite. There is always a slight buzz in my ears. I have to have a fan, tv or radio on almost all the time. If not, It feels like Im gona go crazy. I drive my wife nuts. I can hear sounds that she cant hear and her ears are great. last time I had mine check I was getting sounds about three to four steps higher then most people hear. I think they said I was good for 32 htz to 24,000 htz or something like that. (trying to remember test numbers from over a two years ago is not that easy)

Im like VA. I can tell when my wife turns on the tv in the bed room when Im in the living room, Kinda freaks her out some times.

Funny how loud music, fast cars and the good things in life will screw ya over hu???

I played in Heavy Metal bands for about 10 years. I have to have a fan on when it's completely silent, otherwise the little
high pitch whistle and white noise drives me mental. I still listen to my car stereo cranked. FU@K it.
By the time I'm 70 years old, I'll have heard every damn thing there is to hear and will welcome the silence from the rambling masses. lol

My recent hearing test determined I have excellent hearing.
Particularly, higher frequencies.
However, there is a range of frequency that I'm unable to hear and almost totally deaf.
It's in and around the 1000Hz-1400hz range.
Conveniently, thats about the range of most Women' s speach.

"What's that Honey?"
