I know I need to wear ear plugs. I wear them for 10 to 11 hours a day at work. I just do not like to wear them on the bike.

I use ear buds with a rubber surround on them for noise cancelling and they work great. If I have the radio off they are like ear plugs, but if I turn on the radio on my cell phone, they are even better. I get to listen to the morning show while riding an hour to work in the dark. It makes the journey better.

They are NRR 33 rated, so they decrease sound by 9db more than your Sonic Defenders (NRR 24) ... in other words, 37% more sound blocking.

A box contains 200 pairs of ear plugs. I use a pair a few times or more (usually several weeks before I lose the pair), so they go a long way. Been using them for 2 years. They're comfortable and I also use them at the shooting range

I've been using the same ones since 2005 and I love them. Very comfortable and blocks wind noise very well.
