No i was riding with some harley friends there were two right in back of me ,And two way up ahead. I am trying to get a straight answer out of them as to what happened. They just said the bike came out from under you.
Did you lock up the rear?

No i am not blaming the Avons, I just let the front get a little thin they still have tread on them, And there is no gripp left in them. But some of the turns around the sf bay area are very rough and tight. There is no reason the bike should have stepped out on me unless it was something i did. The road was good and we were not going that fast. I wish i knew what happened but i hit pretty hard when i got up i had no qlue were i was at and who my freinds were. 2 hip is fine just going thru a lot of personal problems. So Amode are you blaming this directly on the Avon Storm II Ultras?
I ask because it's what I have on mine. You said 'went into turn and tires went out from under you.'
Glad you are ok. Where was 2Hip?

Yes you are right i did this. But i will never buy the avons again. They are great for a cruising tire but but for the hills that i ride in no way. ???Dont blame the tires. You did this.
RussellIn your original post you blamed it on the tires.... It is ok to admit it is all your fault, it happens to all of us. Do not blame it on the tires. It tends to lead people, that do not know better, away from those tires just because you said they are crap and made you wreck.
Sucks and it happens. It happened to a buddy of mine the weekend before last on a decreasing radius turn. He is a new rider and makes errors.
At least your bike will repair up and just be lucky you are fine and the bike is mechanically sound

I have been riding since 1970, And the first time down. There is no reason i should have went down on that turn weather and road good. Except for tires. we all should know that even a tire that has tread left does not mean it still has the grip left. And yes the tire is junk it is worn out. the two riders who were behind me said i was only going about 40, And i said not 60 or 70 they said no way. so i am still searching it happened so fast.
