Tipped it over today

No i was riding with some harley friends there were two right in back of me ,And two way up ahead. I am trying to get a straight answer out of them as to what happened. They just said the bike came out from under you.

Did you lock up the rear?

So Amode are you blaming this directly on the Avon Storm II Ultras?
I ask because it's what I have on mine. You said 'went into turn and tires went out from under you.'

Glad you are ok. Where was 2Hip?
No i am not blaming the Avons, I just let the front get a little thin they still have tread on them, And there is no gripp left in them. But some of the turns around the sf bay area are very rough and tight. There is no reason the bike should have stepped out on me unless it was something i did. The road was good and we were not going that fast. I wish i knew what happened but i hit pretty hard when i got up i had no qlue were i was at and who my freinds were. 2 hip is fine just going thru a lot of personal problems.

Did you lock up the rear?

No i have trained myself to stay off that rear brake. The two guys that were behind me said there was no smoke off the rear tire you were in good shape in line the bike just came out. The only thing i think what happend was i came up to the corner grabbed a little front brake probbally to much the front tire did not hold and met asphalt. But i got up found out were i was at and rode it home. Know i really have to get busy and finish my new plastics. Tires first.

Here are some pics of the tires.

In your original post you blamed it on the tires.... It is ok to admit it is all your fault, it happens to all of us. Do not blame it on the tires. It tends to lead people, that do not know better, away from those tires just because you said they are crap and made you wreck.

Sucks and it happens. It happened to a buddy of mine the weekend before last on a decreasing radius turn. He is a new rider and makes errors.
At least your bike will repair up and just be lucky you are fine and the bike is mechanically sound

I have been riding since 1970, And the first time down. There is no reason i should have went down on that turn weather and road good. Except for tires. we all should know that even a tire that has tread left does not mean it still has the grip left. And yes the tire is junk it is worn out. the two riders who were behind me said i was only going about 40, And i said not 60 or 70 they said no way. so i am still searching it happened so fast.

No wrecking when yer riding with Harleys :rulez: Glad you came out ok, I had a bad fishtail pulling out of my driveway the other morning, dabbed a foot. New tires, yes it does happen fast.

The tires do not look that bad. Own your errors and learn from them as we all do. Using tires out of their performance level is one thing but if you were going 40, as you say, the tires are just fine for that. Blaming tires when they look just fine is just irresponsible. That is all I will say. Hope the bike gets back together and good as new soon! :beerchug: Just learn from the situation for the next time.

glad your ok, I don't like to see people get hurt unless I'm doing the Hurting  I got my tires last month and I told the guy at cycle Gear I was going to go home and slather my tires with Armor All because it makes them look shinny, he about had a heart attack

Gladd you are ok my friend. Call me next time Chuck. If I am off I will ride with you. Sounds like you hit the front brake too hard and went beyond the tires capabilities. That's why I liked the BT003 tires so much on my Busa. VERY FORGIVING !!! Get your head checked out and take it easy. Sounds like you have a concussion..................Not Good !!!
