ok, I am just wondering how long do you think my stock 2005 busa tire should last before needing replacing. I do pretty much commuting and not much twisties and only two rolling burn outs, lol. I am talking about the rear tire btw

I got 4000 miles on mine with only 2 smokin burnouts and half hard riding and half commuting. and still have some good tred left

I'm at 2700 miles with no burnouts and the tread wear indicators are showing

depends on your riding style.... I got 15k and some change outta my stock shoes...

that's commuting 82 miles one way to work and working the twisties during the afternoon commute and weekends...

I'd guess about 4,000miles, it depends greatly on how hard you ride it.

+1

On the throttle hard all the time. 2800 mi and indicators are showing and tread is fading fast. I don't burnout at all. I'll go with one more OEM rear b4 I'll switch to a set of Pilot Powers.

Stockers lasted me 2200 miles this year,no burnouts.
Must be the pavement up here, or maybe my right wrist.

I got 6700 miles out of my stock tire....no burn outs.....only about 100 miles of twisties.....I took it pretty easy (understatement) due to it being my first bike.

changed my rear stock tire at 4700 miles..... I currently have a Metzler Sportec on it and I'm at 6300 miles and the tire has maybe another 2000 miles left.... maybe... plan on putting Pilot Powers on next....

ooooo... this Busa likes to eat tires.....

I tend to ride moderate to aggressive and commute as well. I changed mine out at like 4,800 and some miles with a liiitttle bit a tread left.

THANKS Guys, great input, I guess having 6k on my bike now and the tire tread indicators showing isnt so bad. I am going to put it down for the winter for upgrades and mods anyway, so when I get my rims powder coated/or chromed, I might as well put some new meat on the tires.

I've only got 2500 on mine and indicators are showing very well. They have totally separated the two portions of tread. I guess I'm getting close to a new tire?
Other than threshold braking practice oops/lockups (not a lot, but they have happened), I don't beat on it with burnouts.
Tire is worn all the way to edge of tread leaving only about 1/4-3/8" chicken strip.

Not a STKR tire, but I'm pleased.
