Rob - I wanted to let you know how my problem turned out. My bike started dying again today - about 20 or 30 minutes into the ride. Just did not want to run at all - very strange after running so nicely for the first 1/2 hour. I got home (finally) and pulled the codes on it [while it was still doing it this time] using the dealer plug. Guess what popped up?! C23! I pulled out the trusty Service Manual and after a little research found out that C23 is for the TO sensor. TO = TIP OVER sensor! I located the connector to the sensor and it looked like it had been rubbing on something - it was discolored a bit - was rubbing against something black. There are voltage and resistance checks listed to perform but the manual's first suggestion is to check the connection for shorts/bad connection. I sprayed a little contact spray and plugged it back in. BINGO! I went and rode the wheels off of it for nearly 2 hours - problem is gone!! Apparently there was a short or bad connection in the connector feeding the tip over sensor box and it was ACTIVATING! I can say for sure that when activated this device DOES work! I'm very happy now and ready to head to the Ozarks for some fun. Just wanted to let you know just in case you or anyone else has a problem like mine and it's not being caused by plugged fuel filters. I have not heard of anyone else ever having this problem with the TO sensor plug.

Thanks Todd for the info! There's nothing better than sharing of knowledge.

Back to my problem. I tried the dealer mode switch and mine came up with no codes at all on the LCD. I also checked the fuel pump relay fuse, the relay, the fuel pump itself, and the TO sensor using the methods they say to use in the service manual. I did not however check all the connectors (at the time it was about 90deg and humid and I was irritated to say the least!) like I should have. My problem started out as a cut out? and went to where I would turn the key and I'd get no fuel pump whine. I did check connectors for voltage and found that no voltage was getting to the fuel pump relay, so I assumed it was either a problem with the wiring harness or the ECM.

Anyway I dropped the bike off at the dealer last Friday and hope to hear from them soon! I love my Hayabusa and will probably never sell it but with the complexity of it I do think I will be buying the Extended Warranty when I go back to pick it up. And I will post back when I know what went wrong so the rest of you guys can add it to your cumulative Hayabusa knowledge.
