Tobins or Top Gun?

I've saved $250 to pop on the Busa. Busabrother's post inspired me.

I really, really, really like, and have wanted a Top Gun under for my baby. That what I was originally going for.

However...

Those leather Tobin seats look pretty shweet! Plus the comfort & stay-in-place-ability.

Help Me!!!

First off, call silvio at alliedbarter.com. Tell him someone from the hayabusa board sent ya and name drop someone. My name will do just fine. (nothin in it for me, but) saves you $$$. (JAMES MYERS). Anyway you will then have some money left over to start saving for the seat. In the mean time watch the for sale section. There's often one in there for sale cheap. Rhythm sold his for dayum cheap when it went.

But you will love the look of the undertail which will make you want a hugger over the seat. Your arse covers the seat and you dont see it unless it's parked.

I cant really speak to your specifiv decision ( probably because i did both at once) but if i were in your shoes. I would buy the seats. because not only do they look good.....they feel gooooooooooooodddddd!!! The undertail can wait. Also consider this. Hypothetically. speaking of course!! Say Tobin "gets tired" of making the seats. They would be very hard to come by. A lot of people sell undertails!! HMMM WHo knows hypothetically if that happened, i could turn around and sell my seats for $500!! HMMM!!



Man, just get the dang seats!!!

You mentioned comfort.
The Tobin seat isn't designed for comfort!
It's designed for keeping yout butt in the right place when drag racing. It's not UNcomfortable, but the Gel seat smokes it, as far as comfort is concerned!
Don't get me wrong,
I am in NO way trying to discourage you from doing business with Tobin. He sells an excellent product!!!

Punch my ballot under seat... I just ain't that thrilled with any of the undertails. The Top Gun is one that I like better than others, I just can't get excited about any of 'em. On the other hand I'm REALLY wantin' some Tobin seats!

I gotta go with Train on this Mike.

The seat has more plus's (LQQKS and safety factor)than the TG . If you want bright brake lights just throw in some LED turn signal bulbs till you get ready to buy the TG with ICEMAN modified turn signals (bright as hell). The TG look nice but personally I wouldnt pay all that money just for a "stock" lenght "modified" brake light housing area.

I say get the Tobin seat first .
