topping off coolant

Is there a good walk through, or picture some place...

The manual pictures i have just arent that wonderful....

it pretty much says screw here here and clip there, but it looks like the picture was drawn by me... LOL..

i think i know which ones to remove, but want to be 100% sure, i hate getting half way and realising i screwed up..

Gen II you gotta take off 4 parts to get to the overflow bottle (and radiator cap) which is behind RH Side Cowling.

to get the side off, you've got to take off
:
1 - Body Cowling Cover (the one directly over the front fender in the nose), p. 9D-16 of K8 service manual
2 - RH Inner under cowling

3 - Rear under cowling (p. 9D-17)
4- RH Side Cowling (p. 9D - 16)

TIP: put a dab of grease on each "hooked point" when putting back on makes it much easier to get off next time!

LOL, just remembered i didnt specify it was a 2005 gen 1... not sure if that matters since they are so similar....

gen 1, left fairing reveals the overflow bottle, right fairing will grant access to radiator cap. Obviously remember to let it be cold when you take the cap off. Hope this helps.

This kind of routine maintenance I do perform myself. After taking plastics off a few times, it becomes a much quicker process. Be careful not to break a tab!
