I used the Schnit racing GPS device to overcome my restricter. It is more trouble than a standard TRE but it retains the gear position display. You have to pull the side cover and clutch. Here is a link to the article I did on the process on Dragbike.com
Welcome to the board! You will find many, many opinions here but definitely very good solid advice from the veterans on the board. Belive it or not, belonging to the Org will make the experience for you alot better, take the time to look around some more there's alot to learn about Busa's I'ma former Yammi w Nitro rider myself and chose the Busa for many of the same reasons you did. The difference is I no longer have a speed limiter in 6th gear AND the digital gear position sensor still works so the display shows the proper gear up until the last gear. Read the article and it explains exactly what it does. I just dont have time at the moment to repost all the details but its there on dragbike so check it out
