I have a 97 CBR 1100 XX with 2500 miles on it.It is all stock except for polished wheels and tinted shield. The bike is in mint condition, adult owned, never abused.Always stored in heated room.I will trade it plus cash for a used Hayabusa.
Thanks

Waltman:
Just trying to see if anyone would be interested in a trade plus cash.I have cash to buy one if I can find a decent price on a used one.You never know unless you ask...

You are going to have a tough time trying to find a "deal" here, we all love the bike. Why dont you wait for the Y2K model?

I haven't had any problems making power with my twin turbo V6 DOHC - especially after the latest monster turbos were installed. Now if I could just keep it from melting pistons! :) [Solution in progress] $$$$ :(

Lesseee----As a guy who raced 86 and 87 gn's with Dutwiellier and who also spent untold dollars on turbo's and nitrous and also blew the hell out of 4 buick v6's, I must have really been a dud. Best time with over $15,000 in motor alone was high 10's. I had great weight transfer with many factory stage 2 parts. Got some pictures at Gainesville with front end off the ground through low gear. Maybe tech. has improved 2 sec. in last 10 years. Kinda hard with a 3000 lb. car though. Tell me what your freind has done to his to get it in the 8ths. I would really like to know. I would really like also to see where this guy has run. No, I dont' think a busa that I know of will run eights yet but I'll bet that car could not take a 500 mile trip either.

Todd:
I know what you mean. You know what a v6 and turbo's are capable of.Good luck in you're progress.
Earl:
Still sounds like you are doubting me,but no big deal.My friends name is Kent Rudbeck. He lives in Muncie In. about 1 hour from Indy. His car has went a best of 8:70's at 160 mph. 131 60ft. Car still spun the tires pretty bad.I was there to see it.If you still are a non believer come on down and we can put some money on the line... :-)
P.S. And there are a few v6 turbo cars faster than his....

Put some money on what----I believe you, I just think it's fantastic that body can go in the eights. Christ, that motor would have to be putting out more than 800 horses for that kind of time. WOW! Still, I will bet you that a busa can make a 500 mile trip faster than him.

Earl - Check out Turbo magazine sometime. There are 4 cylinder turbo cars running 9's now. The GN's have had quiet a while to develop and produce parts and there have been many GNs showcased in Turbo Magazine over the years. They have a websight too at:
http://www.turbomagazine.com

p.s. - I'm not saying they can do much more than rip down a quarter mile strip.

Jeez Todd---Guess I been out of the car action for to many years huh? I was at a participant in one of the 5.0 mustang / gn drags back in (I think 88 or 89) and there was a GN in low tens. (my slow dog was 10.88) Still beat most of the stangs though. Progress move forward---eights for a GN!!Whodathunkit!!

Earl:
It just sounded like in you're earlier posts that you kinda doubted me.No problem then.Thats why I said I would put some cash on the line. Not trying to start anything. And yes my friends car has made quite a few long hauls on the road.Remember with a v6 and turbo's the cars are still very streetable.
Okay, now that all of this is over.anyone want some cash and a CBR 1100 xx for a Busa??? I am still looking for one...

:-)

Lethal V-6, I will sell you my Busa for your XX plus all your cars plus $3Gs.

I have only used my Busa to drag older model Buicks and Chevrolets, and only on Sundays.

Dear Dirty:
It's a deal, but only if you will take 5 G's.I hope you have a big enough garage !!!!!

So tell me.How many times have you been spanked by older model Buicks and Chevy's???

:-)

Leathalve6, that's quite a challenge.

Please state the nature of your street car.

Any cage that can run 2.2 0-60 and high 9s in the quarter is fine with me!

Velocity :)is good wherever you find it!

To go high 9's that Grand National engine would have to be in a bicycle. Please tell us about that high 9's car. You may have a few takers.

We have attracted one of the only type of vehicles that can compete, But, as a long time street racer, (cars) the Busa is in a different class and this is a compliment.
Pro Street, Top Fuel? The street Car needs NOS to compete or they are totally impractical.

After we pass the 1/4 mile line the BUSA will continue to around 195MPH and can maintain 180 mph for a while. Meanwhile the car has topped out at its trap speed and the fuel is limited. It would also be great fun to disappear through the twisties while the tubbed car with a locker rear-end bounces around anything close to a turn.

I love the smell of racing fuel in the morning.

Bob:
I agree with most of what you posted, except for my friends v6 turbo car has went in the 8's without the aid of NOS.Pretty darn good for a small motored true street car.Yes the Busa would leave any fast street car in the weeds through the corners.I am just hoping to find a nice used Busa for myself.
