Tranny problems

I think my second gear is going out!! Was ridding home the other day and I hit it in 2nd an it felt like it was trying to skip gears.. I heard bout dis problem alot.
So I called one of my buddies and he said it might just be the shift forks..But he also said there might be a way to change them out without spilting the cases!?! has anybody else heard this are tried it?? something like getting the bike up on the rear wheel after getting the radiator and being able to get in there that way..

do anybody out there have any other way of doing this without spilting the cases???

Nope only way to resolve the issue is to send it out and get the transmission back cut

I have been guilty of missing second gear once or twice. Nasty grind for a second and then a good kick back to business. Now if it's constant or popping out of second, it's time to split the cases.
