Bait or no bait, you can always make your point with 1st and 2nd gear only. Challengers will get the picture and you don't even have to break any laws. Nothing in the books says "accelerating to fast to reach speed limit" haha

Actually a few years back, one of my friends got a ticket for an "improper start".  Accelerated 0-45 (the speed limit) in roughly 1.5-2.5 sec.  Don't remember exactly, it was a few years ago.  Don't remember the number of points or the fine.  Anyway, I'm not sayin it keeps me from doin it every now and then, just stating the fact that if cought, I could be issued a ticket for it.

gmmech07, you got me curious about this "improper start" offense and I have to follow that up. What town or location in SC did this happen in and which police dept (state, city or town cop etc)???

It was in Greenville County, being as it was several years ago I don't remember if it was a county, city, or state tooper. But it was for sure Greenville county. They may have changed the laws since then, but I don't know.

For goodness sakes people this happened in Canada, where there are even less people per square mile than Vermont.
