TRE Question Time

hey guys, before I start pulling off my fairings looking where to plug the TRE in, I thought maybe I should ask you guys first....

So can you guys tell me where abouts it is

No need to remove fairings.
- Remove front seat
- Remove screws at the front of the tank
- Lift tank and look on the clutch lever side for a white plug (looks exactly like the TRE plugs)
- Disconnect and connect TRE.

I can't believe my 1900th post was in reference to a TRE

WOW! First they came out with the regular TRE, then the smart TRE, now they have an "extra smart" TRE ... ?

What's the feature on that one?

A Regular TRE, A Smart TRE and the Extra Smart TRE. Yep

All they are good for is removing the speed limiter, and there are better ways of doing that. Why would Suzuki go to the touble of making different maps for each gear if it wasn't needed? They are just as useful as the "Power boxes" you see advertised on ebay........
Hey to each their own, but I will continue to trash them, just like some will continue to buy them.

Not hardly. All your reputable builders/racers will tell you that a TRE is useless for anything but top speed runs. I have my bike set up to race, from your description I see you do not.
If spending your money on a TRE makes you feel better, enjoy! It's a free country.

i`m not a builder or a racer or a tuner .i like the way it smothes it out in the low.
sure tuners hate them and thats ok with me i know what i like. and i will not bash to make everyone to like the same. everyone is difrent and thats ok.

Dont feel bad, I had to ask the same question.

To add to the confusion my plug wast white because I polished my frame and it had crap all on it.
