Not hardly. All your reputable builders/racers will tell you that a TRE is useless for anything but top speed runs. I have my bike set up to race, from your description I see you do not.
If spending your money on a TRE makes you feel better, enjoy! It's a free country.

If you put the ecu from a 1999 busa on a late model busa (03)or later, would the top speed be unrestricted, just curious if anyone has done this? Thank you.

99-01 ECU's are 16 bit and 02 and newer are 32
