Trying to pay cash.

yea, make an offer of 13k, then walk, let them deal with you. if they don't, be sure to stop by after you find your brand new busa to show them they lost the sale. that's what i did with my local dealer. they tried to hit me hard, i went out of state to pick up my bike.

because the only difference between the 2009 and 2011 models is the color of the stickers, maybe seek out a brand new 2009. In the DFW area there are about 3-4 left.

sale price would be $10.5k to $11k aprox.

OR:

keep your eye open for that person selling their almost new busa with under 1K miles. and pay maybe 10K tops.

DON'T RUSH, $16.6K isn't fair, even if you can comfortably afford it. I bought mine brand new a couple months back for cash also. thx.

well i bought a brand new yamaha raptor and they knocked off $3gs of the price out the door which included everything. Not sure why they wont do better.

Here is how I work a new vehicle purchase and it has served me well. I too, pay cash. If I can't pay cash, I don't need it.

I go in knowing what I want. I tell the salesman I am looking for a quote on a specific vehicle with these accessories. I also tell him I will be getting quotes from three different dealers and whomever is the lowest is where I'll buy. They usually come back with, "Well, you go get your quotes and come back to me and I'll beat them"! And I say nope, I don't deal dirty. It's not fair to the folks that give me a fair qoute to shop their price. You'll get the best quotes using this method and most of the time save a substantial amount of cash.

+ 1 on what Tuf said. you'll be surprised at the difference in quotes. I guess some want it more than others.
when I bought mine they didn't want cash to much paperwork on where it came from so I wrote them a check.

I never tell them up front I'm paying cash. I let them quote me prices based on financing thru them with a minimum down payment from me. Play the how much can you pay a month game with them. Work down the cost of the vehicle at what ever interest, term and payment it takes. Let them jack all that up anyway they want so long as they are dropping the price of the vehicle. When the price gets down to where you want it, make the deal but have them write in the contract you have two days to secure your own financing. Give them your minimun down and when you come back to pick up the vehicle hand them your check or stack of greenbacks.

That is way too much for the bike. You are getting ripped off! They are giving bikes away right now at most dealers. GO TO A DIFFERENT DEALER!! Do not pay over $12,500 out the door. That includes TAX, TITLE and license plate. The whole thing. If they want to screw you this bad, just wait for your service visits!!!:cheerleader:

So after talking to them, they offered me $15,200. I think thats about as good as it's gonna get. Let me know what you think....

Actually cash these days talks less profit to the dealer in a lot of cases, they get more if you finance...

Still, man that seems steep~!~

waaaaaaay too much. My 2 cents: $13K OTD MAX. I did a quick search on cycletrader and got these:
Highest: $13,699
Lowest: $10,399
Average: $11,779

Look elsewhere that's too high. I'd rather have a used one in good condition, and the difference in my pocket for mods if I wanted them for sure!

Call Honda East bro...I'm tellin ya, they are hard to beat and they are a sponsor.

I would rather her get a older one but she is persistent on a 2011. After breaking it down, with an msrp of 13,699 after tax, prep, tags, title and all that crap it would equal 16,600. We do have high tex in this state and the majority of that was tax. She's comfortable with it, it's her money......ima let her spend it haha.

I have checked cycletrader and ridenow is all over it for the same price. Imma call honda east and see what they can do....
