Turn Signal Cancellers??

Also thinking about changing places from blinkers to neutral & high beam. Shouldnt bother anyone to have your neutral light or highbeam light flashing. Because they are lower, they are easier to see for me. But cancelors would be better.

Thanks for all the input.

(Tommy Cole @ May 08 2007,16:53) What about a timer?
That's basically what the Kisan is. If I remember correctly, it has different setting for how many flashes you want before it shuts off. One catch is that when you go to signal again, you need to push the switch (on the handlebars) in before the turn signals will work again....it can be a little bit of a nuisance. Another issue I had with the Kisan, and it was rare, the turn signals actually started flashing by themselves a couple of times. I finally took it off of the bike.

(InfiniteReality @ May 08 2007,12:01) A good canceller for my bike is my Kanji mirrors...  I'm 6' and during the daytime I'd forget my signals where one until I made my mirrrors.  Now I almost can't miss them.

I'm going to think a little bit on an actually signal canceller...  definitely possible, but wonder what's the best way of going about it...  ummmm
This is my method as well and it works wonderfully!

Also, during the Blue guages GB, I asked to have the turn signal indicator backlights changed to Blue... under my windscreen they really pop out and are hard to miss...

Occasionally I leave mine on. Need to perfect the habit. Don't worry about it when I do though. Good luck on the fix. Might want to start with that double bubble for wind as much as signal issues.

Does the Kisan connect to the turn signal relay

(bradsbusa @ May 07 2007,22:38) a good answer would be how to make a canceller work , seems like we can make every thing else for the busa why not a canceller we need a eletrical genius not a windscreen because he may need one because he is tall but that still doesnt turn off the blinker automaticly ,,, this is 2007 not 1950
Nice ride, as stated we don't do a lot of slamming around here. We do joke around a good bit and we help other members as much as possible. Enjoy the oRg.

I've seen the caceler at the bike shows , I don't know if it was the Kisan or not but they look like they would do it .

I am also one that always checks the turn signal button out of habit. I see alot of people riding bikes with there turn signals on! I am always pushing it to make sure, just to be safe. I have also wanted to do the Kanji mirror mod and havent done so yet. I would imagine that would help if you are one that forgets. Also I have the Puig double bubble and that helps for seeing the indicators also.

I believe some of them work off of the speedometer/trip meter, i.e. they use a distance travelled to determine when to switch off, rather than a timer, which could cancel early if you're stuck at a light or waiting on a gap in traffic.

I agree that distance is a far more accurate method for determining when to turn off the signal. My first bike was an '86 Kawasaki 454LTD and it did turn off the signal based on distance. I've yet to own a bike since that did this.

I've also made it a habit to press the turn signal button just to make sure I'm not one of "those" people who leave their signal on. I think I press it so often that it's got to be a form of OCD at this point.

(Tommy Cole @ May 05 2007,18:38) Anybody know where or how to do turn signal cancellers, timers, brighter flashes. Im a little tall to see my indicators ' windshield blocks view.

                      06 busa
ride more harleys

(InsertOriginalNameHere @ Jun. 06 2007,16:39) Amazing price.  Wish I could see a picture from maybe a 60* angle to them.
there is a crap load of pics floating around. I would do a search and see what you can find at both places..

(bradsbusa @ May 05 2007,20:41) 109.00 $$ they can suc it
You can get a Puig online for ~ $60.00. Dark smoke looks ok, but you are not going to see much through it--not that it matters for me. When I'm ducked down I am still looking over it.

oh wait wait wait....

how about forget about those turn signal, use HAND signals!!!! I sh*t you not, you won't never forget to turn those off!!!!

Seriously, I think I won the off topic answer contest...

The dude asked for turn signal canceler, I'm pretty sure it meant electronic.

I would definitely look in the Harley parts catalog as they have those available. Couldn't tell you how it works, whether it's timed or by lean angle but it would indeed be cool! But if it works on a Harley, I'm sure with the proper resistance you can make it work on anything!

ok now in all seriousness, i picked up the latest Dennis Kirk catalog (metric bikes).

They have a Universal Turn signal switch for $61.99 that will fit 7/8" bars. It would replace the stock busa turn signal switch and comes with everything that is on the busa (horn, signals, flasher, high/low beam). And of course is has a seal cancellation built-in.

You probably would need to cut the factory harness and hook that one up but that would make the job a hell of a lot easier than making something custom.

Part No. 21-0423

Hope this will help!
