Turnstile

I have a very tight driveway and shed to keep my Busa in; I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to turn the big and heavy around in a tight space. I look like Austin Powers on the golf cart when I am in my driveway. My wife wants nothing to do with the bike but she will come out and watch me for the 10 minutes it takes to turn the bike around and laughs and heckles me the whole time.

I was thinking about a turnstile with a wheel chock at one end to hold the Busa in place.

Any thoughts?

Thats what I do , tilt it on the stand and rotate it where I want it to point .

Spin it on the stand, just practice on a smaller bike first.....or....... do a burnout and spin it like that!!!!

I use the stand to spin the bike

Goto a dealer, mechanics do it all the time. You lean the bike over so one tire is off the ground and the other tire is light on the ground. Then you balance it while twisting it around. Its hard to explain it by typing, watching someone do it, then practicing on a smaller bike is an easier explanation. Don't try it on your Busa first!!

I had no prob using the kickstand method on my GSXR600 but have never seen anyone do it with a busa, maybe i just don't put enough into it but it doesn't want to work when i try. It may have to do with how far the bike leans on the kickstand since i have lowered mine it doesn't seem to want to budge. I used to just turn the bars to the far right and pull toward the stand and the bike would just spin.

That is a great video -- I do not think that I can turn the bike like that, I am sort of afraid to try it. Maybe I will get a couple of my boys over to try it with me.

Thanks for the visual.

Simply park your busa on a narrow sheet of plywood or MDF. On the bottom of the plywood or whatever attach about 10-12 of those teflon furniture movers. You know the little disks that go under furniture legs? Then simple grab an edge or build a couple of handles on your "Ghetto Lazy Suzan" and your in there.

Just be careful riding on or off of this thing. Should work like a champ and keep things level while turning.

Repeatedly spinning a 550lb bike on it's crappy lil side stand is eventually going to end in heartbreak... Or back break... OH, and I see salesguys and mechanics spinning bikes all day... But not the Busas, or the v-Stroms, or ST1300's etc... Smaller bikes mostly...
